According to the Daily Mail (🤢) PSG were happy to play Tues 7th & Wed 15th, then not postpone the Lens game, Lpool rightly disagreed and the dates are 8th & 14th and they’ve asked the French League to postpone the Lens match and they’ve agreed.

I genuinely don’t believe he’s used the Hillsborough disaster as an excuse from the report I’ve read, certainly didn’t say anything disrespectful.

Please link anything that shows his words or behaviour as disrespectful because if he has been I hope you humiliate them on the pitch.

You’d also hope our PL would step in and postpone your match v Fulham.

The PL are not going to postpone the Fulham game and no English club will ask for the game to be postponed

What was their excuses for the last time they asked for it , multiple times they have had games postponed to give them more rest

They are using Hillsborough to try and justify the reason for postponing the game to allow PSG to have a full weeks rest in between the CL games , everyone knows that , to bring Hillsborough into it is low

This is the first time they even mentioned Hillsborough and it was only after Lens have made a complaint

Just playing devils advocate here and not being disrespectful.

What does it matter about their excuses before, they play in a different country and if their FA allow it that’s nothing to do with anyone else regardless of whether opponents feel hard done by. Nothing stopping English teams asking for it if that’s what they want to happen and can make a suitable case for it. If they refuse to or don’t want to that’s equally their choice not the fault of PSG.

I’ve not seen anything that’s been said that’s disrespectful, perhaps it comes across that way to Liverpool fans as it’s such an emotive thing for you all and that’s understandable.

Sorry, but your first 2 paragraphs are irrelevant and the French FA only postponed the Lens match this afternoon.

There’s 2 fixtures on the 7th & 15th, 7 days between them and 2 fixtures on the 8th & 14th, 5 days between them, so I’d suggest the 7th & 15th would be the better dates, he’s respected the fact yous won’t play on the 15th, so asked his FA to postpone a game to help them, from a PSG point of view he’s looking after his team.

I really can’t see where he’s been disrespectful, disrespectful, and down right out of order, would of been him going to UEFA and trying to insist on the 7th & 15th.

UEFA determine when the matches are played - nothing to do with the clubs , if UEFA determined that the match was to be played on the 15th then PSG would have still requested the Lens match to be postponed just as they have done previously- they have already set the precedent when the game between Chelsea matches was postponed

Them asking for the match against Lens to be postponed is purely to give their team rest

And he is using Hillsborough to try and find a way to justifying that which is wrong but I’m not going to go back and forth

You know UEFA wouldn’t have put yous to play on the 15th, Lpool have had an exemption (rightly so) to playing on that date.

This is his statement:
“At first, we would have liked to play the UCL on Tuesday [April 7], then on Wednesday [April 15]. But Liverpool can’t play on April 15, we had to respect their history, because it’s a tragic date for the club," he told RMC Sport.

I can’t see anything wrong in that and see no reason why LPool shouldn’t approach the PL to request the same, just because they won’t doesn’t mean they can’t.

The French FA have also cancelled the Strasbourg league fixture between their Conference League 1/4 Final’s, so it’s not just PSG getting special treatment

He isn't using Hillsborough as an justification at all.

You said yourself, they have had multiple games postponed in the past. And presumably they didn't have controversial justifications needed to get them postponed.

Hillsborough was simply the reason the Champions League dates fell as they are. And thus why they got their league match postponed.

He was completely respectful of LFC. Had he slammed LFC for not playing on the Wednesday, they I'd agree it would be disrespectful. But he didnt do that.

Wales will be gutted with that. Had some great chances in the second half, the one off the bar was key. Bosnia looked good for the last 20 minutes and their striker missed the ball twice from yards away. He was the only one to miss a penalty too.

Didn't see the Ireland game but a shame to see them throw away a 2 goal lead.

Can't say I'm devestated with NI's result last night, simply because I never really had high expectations. Regardless of how bad Italy may be compared to what one would expect an Italy team to be, they are many leagues better than NI. Resolute defensive performance in first half, but it sadly wasn't sustainable in the second half. On the off occasion we broke forward, you never really had any confidence the players would have the quality or bright decision making to score a goal. I was mor waiting for a big Italian mistake than a moment of quality, Donoruma almost presented us with a great chance in second half.

The Welsh and Republic of Irish will be gutted. For Wales to not get it over the line at home, after conceding late in normal time and a couple of shocker penalties (in fairness, bad penalties happen, even to the best players, so wouldn't really be too critical of the players) will hurt. Same for Republic. I didn't see that one, but to be 2-0 up, and again conceding a late equaliser is a dagger to the heart.

I would have liked to have seen the Welsh play against Italy (on the assumption that NI lost against Italy of course)
