Idiots in all walk of sports , grown adults at the end of the day , solve your differences to be able to play

I suspect it was a fight over fake tan 😁
The stories I read were saying Holland took issue with White because he doesn't have a strong interest in football outside of playing, i.e. he doesn't care about other team's results and so on. I remember Assou-Ekotto at Spurs years ago was the same - just turn up and do your job. Personally I don't think having that interest in what other teams are doing makes any difference to your ability, so Holland was talking out of his backside. But presumably Southgate took Holland's side on it and White felt his position in the squad was untenable.

Having said that, I'm still not sure he should be in the squad now purely because he never actually plays anymore.

Seems like the question was relating to his own teams performance

Not sure how the likes of White could have survived with previous managers that screamed at players in front of team mates

No player should be in the squad if their feelings are so easily hurt. Ben White made the correct decision to withdraw.

Totally agree Bri, corners are the biggest issue, players are doing it because they know that 99% of the time they get away with it.

As others have said, it’s the inconsistency that gets people wound up.
The biggest issue with corners is that the ball is out of play. A foul can't be committed until its actually taken.

How many times have we seen Refs delay the corner and spk to players, so if they can do that, then the ball being out of play is irrelevant.

Just blow the whistle and tell them to retake the corner, regardless of whether the defence has cleared it or the attack has scored.

No added time on, just make them behave.

The picture released to TV during the game showed him behind the ball.

The last thing we now want is IT/Geometry experts proving that decision was incorrect in their opinion.

It’s been discussed on here the issue of when the picture is paused.

It’s things like this that is undermining VAR, it’s not perfect, but it’s better than not having it.

Isn’t when the picture paused the key thing for offsides as it’s a moment in time where someone is judged to be onside

But ultimately the post was just to highlight that it’s the second time that I’m aware of where they used the 5% tolerance

I thought the 5cm tolerance was down to frame rate. It’s a fudge anyway as it is also dependant on the speed a player is moving. A player moving quickly might move 5cm between frames but one moving slowly might only move 2cm. The 5cm is a coverall, including the distance an attacker might move and the defender in the opposite direction.

It’s an educated guess.

Believe the 5cm tolerance is something that’s mainly only in use for the semi automated decisions
