To be honest the first half didn’t surprise me one bit. I thought City slightly edged it but after 40 mins they never had one attempt. 😳 it was always going to be cagey.
The first 10 mins of the second half I never saw as I was sealing my patio with a second coat. I came in as Missis T was bouncing off the ceiling due to Kepa having hold of Doku. Ave still not seen it. Speaking of Kepa, it made my day seeing him have another stinker against City in a Carabao cup final. Still remember when he would not leave the pitch playing for Chelsea.
That second half for City was as good as I have seen them play all season. It’s amazing what can happen when you play players in there right positions.
Nico OReilly, what a player, 2 goals from the left back position, surely he is a definite for the World Cup. And unfortunately Foden won’t be.
It’s the squeaky bum time of the season and Arsenal need to step it up, big style. The pressure will only increase and someone in that team needs to start leading or the quad could be the Prem league only. I suppose they would of taken that at the start of the season.
O’Reilly foul or not Tash?

I’m also a neutral but I fail to see how that was dull. Yes it wasn’t end to end but you’re never going to get that in modern football finals there’s to much at stake. It was however a very clever tactical battle with strong defensive displays from the top 2 managers and teams in the country.

But each to their own 🤷🏼
…well present day top level English football might be tactically very clever…but that doesn’t make it exciting…and if it’s not exciting then for me it loses (doesn’t have) a lot of entertainment value. But there you go. Each to their own.

Forest are still only 2 points above Spurs, 3 above West Ham. Too close to call. Leeds are also very much involved.

The good news for forest, apart from the obvious of winning, is how they played and that they are back scoring again. They'll be gutted that there's a break now.
I don’t think we will. 18 days to rest and recuperate and for Vitor to have time to actually work with the squad oh and the small matter of a certain Chris Wood being back at the end of that 18 days.

We’ve struggled for goals, and had A LOT of balls delivered that would have been scored had we had Woody and his experience playing week in, week out.

Now we’ve started scoring AND have the added bonus of Chris Wood’s contributions as well.

Peaking at the right time hopefully!

How I saw it too! Congratulations to City on the first trophy of the year.

Very strange set up and performance from Arsenal. When it wasn't working Arteta did a Southgate impression and froze. Too late to make a change and then failed to make a change right away at 1-0. A few minutes later and it's game over. I thought Arsenal in the second half were a disgrace.

You can just tell Arteta is going to park the bus away at City and play for a 0-0. They'll be plenty of twists and turns in the title race if they don't step things up big time.

Now there’s a turn up. City put in a performance in the second half. 😳

I was gobsmacked that Arsenal had no real cutting edge. Arsenal need to bounce back from that. It’s odd how a trophy/comp that some clubs would be happy to see gone is now silverware of importance 🤔

Which clubs want to see it gone ?

It’s always been a major trophy

Let’s be honest, most of the teams playing in Europe wouldn’t be bothered if it was gone, hence the teams they put out until they get to semi/final stage.
Don’t get me wrong, you get to field players that aren’t regulars and give youngsters a chance, which is a good thing, unless your Kepa 😂😂
