This. With bells on.

The fact the goalkeeping position at United is now only fleetingly talked about, given the dramas of the last couple of years, tells you just what a good signing Lammens is turning out to be.

£17m looks like a steal.
As each game passes, I get more confident going for him instead of Martinez was the right choice. When the deal was done, I only hoped the board had evaluated the decision well, as I knew nothing about him. But now I've seen him, his composure is very reassuring. Liked his interview last night. He is obviously very confident in his ability to deal with crosses for example. Had Onana or Bayindir been in goal, we'd have conceded 2 or 3.

Tough for most keepers in that congested penalty box. He made an interesting point. Several times, he wasn't even able to stand on the pitch, as he was being pushed behind goal before corner was taken.

Suppose it makes a change from blaming Pep for ruining the game 🤷‍♂️😆
Arteta is Pep's protige. He has taken all the boring bits from Pep's football (high possession) to Arsenal.

He has removed any hint of excitement Pep produced, lots of open play goals (excitement for their own fans anyway).

And replaced that with an even more boring tactic than high possession. Corner kicks.

He has basically tried to create a winning brand of football using the most boring styles of football one can think of. I mean, if he wins something, credit to him. But I doubt he will get too many plaudits. And Arsenal fans will have to continue being insecure about very few people actually respecting them :)

The irony of other former title winning fans bemoaning Arsenal if they win the league knowing we’ve had such things as Fergie time, Klopp and LiVARpool doing things but stating we wouldn’t do that, Chelsea who literally parks the bus all season to win under Mourinho. But nope it’s Arsenal who would be the worst winners and the Unbearables!

The hypocrisy and irony amongst football fans never ceases to make me chuckle.

You’ve spelt Liverpool wrong! Haven’t we been hearing them complain for years they’re not respected, or City fans getting told where we’re they before Pep. Nothing more fickle than others looking bitter just because someone’s found a way to be successful whilst their team lags behind.

Fortunately being a lower league fan we’re used to being ignored 🤣

I’d rather watch prime United under Ferguson than this Arsenal side. And as for Fergie Time, we had nothing like the added time there is in Premier League games these days!

I suppose it all depends on why you watch football, and my goal is to be entertained. And Arsenal, should they go on and win the title, will be instantly forgettable as a football team.

I think many of us have been critical of Arsenal for a long time. So if we continue, even if they do win something in the end, any criticism is unlikely to be due to bitterness. It is just consistency.

Criticism towards City, and Chelsea, had largely been due to randomness of those clubs getting a huge cash injection, before FFP rules (forgetting the 115 charges).

And Peps boring football label, for me, is simply down to very high possession, and wearing opponents and non Man City fans down. I think most are probably entertained by high risk, quick attacking football. But Pep is a brilliant coach and City have had immense players. Can't argue with that too much
