Jeff Stelling, like many in media, continuing to reveal how much a fool he is. Just wanting to be as sensationalist as possible

He blamed the non flag of offside for Villa goal on the fact linesmen are told not to flag immediately, as VAR sorts it out for them

What he had conveniently ignored is that the linesmen ALWAYS flag if they think it is offside when VAR is in use, they simply are asked to delay the flag if they think it is close. Therefore VAR is nothing to do with this particular incident. The simple reason is the linesman missed the offside.

And although it was a bad miss, I've seen worse pre VAR, and during VAR we wouldnt be talking about it as it would have ruled goal out and we forget about it. The handball non penalty was a worse one, given they correctly gave handball bit somehow were a long way out from where it actually happened

Laughable that the referee put the foam down, to show where the kick needed to be taken from, less than 2ft from where Trippier attempted to cross from.
