The other day I mentioned a player who wasn’t a first pick and really turned up when called upon, Toto Schillaci.
Well here’s another one, Geoff Hurst.

It doesn’t matter how good a player thinks he is( and with Bellingham, you only have to look at his fathers reactions to the younger Bellingham being hooked to see where the older Bellingham gets his from) but they have to be a team player and put their ego away.
I can live with a player having some arrogance, but when it has the ability to turn toxic in a squad it’s bad for all and the player should be left out.

There didn’t seem to be any issues of toxicity during Euro 2024 when he stepped up for the team scoring key goals , just because someone is confident doesn’t mean they aren’t a team player

One of the things that seemed to be very clear under Southgate was the togetherness of the squad - and that included players with “confidence”

Bellingham has backed up his ability and confidence on the pitch for both club and country

You say there was no toxicity, but why was he left out after he became fit again? Could this be a sign that people in the camp weren't happy with him (and his entourage)?

It was one squad meet he was left out of after just returning from his shoulder injury and not being in the best of form

As soon as he started to get his form back he was straight back into the squad

Bellingham is a loose cannon. His arrogance is his downfall as he can't control it. Got put on his backside and his reaction was to hack the guy down. Zero control of his emotions. The "who else" just stunk the place out for me. Sort that side of him out and he is world class but with it...not for me.

Middlesbrough getting a manager already employment are they....

Looks like it.

Hellberg’s club has a trigger(compensation) clause in his contract. It’s public knowledge there’s a clause in place. Middlesbrough approached the club when it was reported that Swansea had also offered to meet the compensation level and were interviewing Hellberg in London.

It could be they’ve poached him from Swansea by offering a better deal than Swansea were offering but there’s a world of a difference between Boro being told yes they can talk to Hellberg & Edwards saying he wants permission to talk to Wolves.

Wolves did nothing wrong in approaching the Boro and asking permission to talk to Edwards. All above board.

From my very limited knowledge I think the Boro fans were upset with Edwards rather than Wolves.

He gave it the big all together and one for all stuff then left 6 months later which is bound to leave a bitter taste.

The only solution is to deduct Everton and Forest 3 points each 😂

Think Edwards is a heck of risk for Wolves - not hugely proven in the Prem

Cheap compared to others (compensation & wages).
I think finances are a big thing with them.
Wolves are one of the few clubs who seem to not invest in their squad each season and in my opinion deserve to go down.
The owners not the fans I may add

Let’s be honest I think the Edward’s appointment smacks of accepting relegation and preparing for next year but the board won’t admit that to the fans instead they’re selling it as he’s one of our own someone you can trust to want the best for the club and get behind him. In real terms it’s a cheap appointment that might do ok in the Championship.
