This is what I enjoy about football. Utd are rubbish and everyone piled in. Now Liverpool are not quite to Utds rubbish level and Utds piled in. City were rubbish for generations and Utd piled in. Yet it seems Liverpool are a little exempt from criticism.
I see massive similarities between money wasted at Utd and Liverpool yet there is a difference 🤔😳
As a neutral is quite refreshing to see the “ Banter” between utd and Liverpool. However, let’s not forget that City have ruined football by spending billions being successful yet both Liverpool and Utd are showing how to throw money down the drain.

Not sure where it was decided that Liverpool are exempt from criticism 🤷‍♂️

And do you see any similarities between Liverpool this season and their title defence and Man City’s last season ?

At one stage over Nov/Dec City lost 6 league games in 8 , knocked out of the league cup and lost 2 CL games on the bounce- they also spent a good whack

Guess buying success isn’t so easy after all 😉

There is so much going on at Liverpool it’s hard not to comment. And don’t get me wrong as a City fan, flippin eck I should be fidgeting like a dog with worms wanting to say something. But am not kicking fans/ Clubs for the sake of it. The title is never won or lost in November and I will keep opinions in the back pocket til the end of the season.
That said when Pep Says Klopp pushed Him/ City to higher levels, maybe Klopp never got the recognition he deserved. 🤔

Think Wolves might be out of the race 🤣

Rob Edwards must've been around every Middlesbrough fans house and defecated on the carpet, proper weird behaviour. Every media outlet showing outrage at a manager moving clubs, we must be the first club to take someone else's manager.

He's gone part way through the season, the team has a chance of promotion and he's going to a team on target for relegation. He's barely been at Boro and he's jumped ship before Christmas. You can't expect them to be happy about it.

Half hour journey instead of 3 hours to see his child, and it's the club he supported as a child. They've had 7 managers in 10 years, if they want to talk about loyalty.
Also, Richard Keys thinks we've done the wrong thing, so we're probably OK.

All understandable reasons but why would Boro fans think that's enough? End of the season, after a couple of years or so, that's fine but going now? Of course they are going to spit feathers. Wolves fans would do the same, as would fans of any club.

Totally understand why he’s gone to Wolves. Equally, I understand why the Boro fans have kicked off. Boro/Carrick fell off a cliff in the second half of last season. Gibson, the owner, probably took too long to boot Carrick which led to a wave of fan discontent. Boro then seemed to drag their heels in getting in the new manager, Edwards, and gave the other clubs a good two weeks start in the transfer market.

Edwards came in, said all the right things, even sent a letter to all the season ticket holders which was also published on the club’s PR page. I didn’t like the guy - there was something about him. He seemed to lack sincerity in what he was saying. Grudgingly, I was starting to think I was wrong.

Like I said, I totally understand why he’s gone but to say we’re all in it together etc, blah blah blah, and then leave. It’s his dream job, and good luck to him, but for me he’s confirmed he’s a shyster.

We can both be unhappy about him together, for me he's a cheap option. Ownership throwing a local ex player in front of a fanbase that's had enough of them.

Who would you have liked to come in ?

Edwards did a good job at Luton to sneak them into the Prem and was ok in the Prem but can understand why it would feel and underwhelming appointment

Strangest thing is I heard they've given him a 3 1/2 yr contract. That seems long both in the circumstances and also based on the average PL lifespan of a manager. Well done to Edwards agent but the club may pay a price for that.

Is it stranger than the other thing we did only weeks ago? Giving a manager a new 3 year deal who'd ended last season poorly, started this one even worse, and then sacked him. Rudderless throughout, the sooner the chief executive sods off to concentrate more on esports the better.
