I understand previous similar incidents have seen the goal given but that doesn’t make it right.
If it went against Liverpool and a goal was given against them I would not agree and I bet you wouldn’t either.

I do agree it’s an interesting conversation and everyone will have their own opinions and no one is right or wrong.

One thing I will say is that you cannot blame the officials.
We have seen it multiple times from different angles in slow mo and at full speed, and still can’t agree.

The referee is wrong.!

He gave a goal against Wolves for City in an identical scenario.
He disallowed Liverpools so he can’t be correct in both incidents.!

He has to be wrong in one of them.

I have not seen the goal given to City but I think the goal Liverpool had disallowed was the correct decision.

If it was the same scenario then I would say he got the decision to allow a goal for City wrong.

With VAR, and many rules being butchered to try and get to the point where decisions can be more black and white, it is why I can see them trying to change this (similar to what I said earlier about automatic offside in 6 yard box). Or, they may ban opponents from being within 2 yards of the keeper before or during a corner kick to stop them blocking his path (like they banned players from being near the wall during a free kick). The fact that this incident went against Liverpool, I can imagine there will be more incentive for them to discuss rule changes due to the fallout. Watch this space.

It’s a massive cock up of a rule.

What’s bugging me is it’s the same ref that gave Citys in an identical one against Wolves.

Maybe but if we score we show we can get through at them.

Don’t forget we missed some very good chances in the second half.

City we’re in second gear but that dosnt mean they will score more goals.
The blonde fella can’t even score from 12 yds.😉

If you score all you do is make them go up a gear. They were coasting and pulling you to pieces, had you scored they had just gone into 3rd gear. You score in that game you still don't have a chance of winning it in my opinion, you're too weak in midfield and defence looks clueless at times. Bradley for me was the only shining light all game he ran his backside off and did everything he could to show fight, even if you'd scored your players just don't look up for it and Slot is looking quite clueless with his tactics and changes at the moment.

You did miss the chances but missed chances don't mean anything at the end of the day just means you failed to score again. Trust me i'm a Reading fan I know all there is about missed chances and disappointment 😂

Yes agreed but Slot never made any changes to combat the obvious tactic to let Konate have the ball.🙈

Bradley played well but got no help from Salah .
Even when Citys left back pushed forward Salah just stood watching him run past and double up on Bradley.
Surely Slot should see that ?

I genuinely have no answers to those questions and why I said i'd like to see a reported to have the cojones to ask Slot "Why do you keep playing Salah and refuse to sub him off" The man is literally a passenger in the team. He offers nothing defensively, is doing nothing offensively and looks like he's just collecting that large chunk of cash you pay him for the privilege of having him in your team.

Tactically he's looking inept this season, Kirkes was phenomenal as a marauding left back last year and he has him inverting playing a totally alien role. Frimpong has been one of the best wingbacks in Europe last 2 seasons and he's done the same to him and can't get a tune out of him. Wirtz looks a shadow of his former self and doesn't help he is being played the way he is with no cover behind him t allow him to float about as Salah keeps doing the same thing so that makes you 2 men light straight away when losing the ball. I've no idea what Slot is telling them but he's certainly not coaching them like last year and letting them play with freedom. but i'm not Liverpool so in reality I don't really care 😂
