Why would it matter if a kid wants to celebrate that way , no different to them copying other celebrations
In my time as a kids football coach, I saw children of ages 6-10 put the ball under their shirt and suck their thumb as if celebrating their partner's pergnancy, point to the heavens as if dedicating their goal to a departed loved one and applaud all four sides of the pitch when being subbed off (despite it being rolling subs and knowing they'd be back on a few minutes later). Among many others!
In fairness, I never saw any kids remove their shirts. But I'm sure it would have just elicited the same amusement from onlookers as the above examples did.
Stupid rule IMO, but while it's in force, players should be aware of it or suffer the consequences if they don't follow it.

Yeah seen them do all sorts when watching the nephews game - the Ronaldo one very popular - would yellow card anyone for doing that

I get to watch Forest play in Europe for the first time in 30 years when we got battered by Bayern in the QF of the UEFA Cup....only for England to lose out on getting to the Final of Euro 96 months later. 12 year old me was an emotional wreck that year
I'm absolutely buzzing (and insanely jealous of everyone out in Seville who are sharing their photos on social media)
hopefully Antony doesn't score for Betis. The united supporting whopper on my team at work will be insufferable tomorrow if he does.

Secondly where did I say someone shouldn’t celebrate. You’re reading a very different interpretation into what I actually said. I said anyone that can’t celebrate without removing clothing is a prat and I stand by it, by all means celebrate go a bit nuts, kiss the badge whatever but there is not a single reason to remove an item of clothing to celebrate! If you think it’s justified then that’s down to you but I cannot fathom a single reason a grown man needs to remove his clothes to do so!

All that's needed is a polite handshake with the gentleman who assisted you, and then back to your half for kick-off.
As Balotelli put it - their job is scoring goals, a postman doesn't celebrate whenever he delivers a letter.

Does it matter though ? Where is the harm in someone who wants to take his shirt off to celebrate a last minute goal etc
If someone scores a goal to win a CL and goes mad and take their shirt off and run around etc is it really an issue
We haven’t been in that position so wouldn’t prob understand the emotion or elation that happens
It’s just taking a shirt off - not sure why it’s any different to other celebrations

Clearly it matters it’s not in the rules so don’t be a dick and break the rule !
there are many things in life to be passionate about. To celebrate but taking the shirt off is not a valid or reasonable celebration accepted in society so why should it be allowed in football!
Anyway nothing else to say personally. I stand by my point any grown man taking a shirt off to celebrate anything is a PRAT

The harm is it leads to a booking which, even if it’s not a second yellow, will impact on the team at some point. Why do it if you know it will lead to a booking? It’s just stupid. The vast majority of media, and social media, is saying what a prat. Any incident, booking, sending off and any rules are up for discussion, and part of that discussion is what a prat.
Should that rule be changed? Why? It’s a nothing rule, just follow it. What’s next thing, showing your jockstrap?
How many rugby players have you seen do it? I guess that’s part of my make up. As an ex-rugby player, just play the game, follow the rules and say “yes sir” to the ref.
