But this was City when we tried to get onto the top table. Now all of a sudden we have gone from being liddle City to “ ruining football”. How’s that work out.
Newcastle have as much buying power potential as City have yet they are running there business with the handbrakes on thanks to the Implementation of FFP. Coz it’s to protect clubs. Yeah them clubs being the ones at the top table.
If it means winning trophies, then I hope Forest carry on as they are 😂 (without actually cheating the system through numerous financial loopholes)

Everyone is crying about us and hates us now anyway, so might as well embrace it and build a successful club.

Not everyone is crying. Some are actually embracing the fact that some clubs go to Trent bridge and get a bloody nose. Including City.
Unfortunately you have discovered that success breeds jealousy.

It’s always surprising when a club that sells half the amount of shirts that the likes if Liverpool , Man Utd , Barce and Real Madrid and not even in the top ten of revenue from shirt sales can get a £1bn shirt deal
I'm surprised that any of the top clubs get any money for shirt deals as most of the 'fans' wear knockoffs from the local market wide boys :ROFLMAO:

It isn't purely about shirts though. It's great advertising for Puma, to be seen with a winning club. Every time City go out to play, seen all around the world. (as long as they stay successful of course)

I don’t think people “hate” forest

There is no comparison to City as there is as far as I’m aware no level of cheating going on at Forest

The football player and the players were good to watch

Some have an issue with the owner and the way he has acted and his history and at times there does seem to be a lot of chips form some fans

There are still a good amount that get the real stuff

Last year the highest made by Liverpool was around £130mil from shirt sales , a little bit below the likes of Madrid and Munich

I had a discussion with a guy in Mauritius a couple of years ago. The time I had a round with slab. He was raving about the collection of copied shirts he has. £25 each.
I just couldn’t wear one. I wouldn’t be seen dead in one. Sold some old classics on eBay. Made me enough to buy some new Ping irons.

The odd thing about that LT is that City got a sponsorship deal which was in excess of what other clubs were getting. The pretext was as long as they were successful. Centurions, triples, quad, four in a row. Champions league winners, European super cup and world club champs massively helped.
With hindsight, City should have asked for a bit more. 😂👍

It is good adverts and it may well be Puma trying to battle Adidas and Nike

But the exposure they get isn’t the same as the likes of Madrid and Barce

Until the deal they had similar deals to Liverpool , Arsenal and Chelsea with Man Utd a bit more

It’s very much an overinflated deal with Puma

Which is fine, but people just make stuff up and believe anything to fit their narrative. Hence why I'll happily back him (and I was very critical of the way he handled some business side of things in the season we were promoted - so I'm not a blind loyalist).

i.e.
"unacceptable that he stormed the pitch to berate Nuno" - which he didn't do and has been refuted by Ola Aina
"went crying to UEFA and wrote a letter snitching on Palace" - which he didn't do - the club simply wrote asking for clarification on which competition they'd be playing in due to the issue surrounding palace (that had already been made public).

Is he perfect? of course not, but he's present at the club and actually cares about its success, rather than just running it for profit. As I've said previously, I'd rather an owner who's passionate about the club, than one who runs it as a cash cow.

The whole situation surrounding Gibbs-White is odd, but no one can judge for sure until things have been sorted (hopefully sooner rather than later).

If he was offered a contract a year ago (as has been reported today) and has been refusing to sign it, then bin him off out of my club, the rat. He sat in front of a camera with tears in his eyes less than 6 months ago, saying there's no place he'd rather play....so that's clearly a lie if we've offered him a considerable pay rise and increased (or removed) release clause. Turns out Wolves fans were 100% correct all along, Gibbs-White plays for no one but himself.

Get rid and move on.

For the owner the one issue I had was the spitting thing - was poor and was dealt with. History on him doesn’t read well but that’s not about Forest

The thing with Nuno - optics weren’t great , ownwrs shouldn’t be on the pitch like that regardless

And in regards UEFA and Palace - just stay out of it and let UEFA deal with it - again optics

As for MGW - it’s no different to any other messy transfer

If he wants to leave then it’s about Forest wanting to get as much as they can which you can’t blame them , and suspect a bit of annoyance is down to the clause that’s not a value that represents the impact of the player

True. I think as fans we probably feel very aggrieved. To the video celebrating his 100 appearances and saying he wants to make more memories and nowhere else he'd rather be. To the fan-funded Tifo worshipping him like a god. Every single person in the fanbase treated him like a god....and this is (allegedly), how he repays us? I know it's not unusual in football, but if true, I genuinely thought he was one of the good guys, so it stings a little bit more.

Yeah at times we get too attached to players that miss the badge etc and then are looking for a way out

Learned over the years that loyalty etc is a dirty word

Only have to see what’s happened with Trent over the last 18 months

This could be interesting...

Possible transfer of Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt to Newcastle for a fee in excess of what we paid for Isak.

Ekitike was someone Newcastle had an interest in a few seasons ago before he decided to leave Reims to warm the bench at PSG. Its interesting as it will potentially mean one of the following...

1) Eddie Howe being more flexible with formation and perhaps not sticking rigidly to his preferred 4-3-3 but possibly going 4-4-2 and accommodating both Isak and Ekitike.
2) Preparing for the departure of Isak...possibly next season.
3) Ekitike is content with being a squad player and not being guaranteed starts, but understanding that there is a requirement for squad depth and support and that his chances will come.

This apparent interest has appeared on the independent nufc.com website, which usually refrains from commenting on transfer gossip unless there is something pretty concrete afoot.

Had a feeling cards would start to move once Newcastle made the noise about Ekitke

£120m.....do you only want one leg? He has 3 years left on his contract.

add on a 10m bonus if Liverpool win the PL next season and a further £20m if they win the CL in the next 3 years and you might be getting close to a fair deal.

Will be telling to see if Isak features in our friendlies against Celtic, Arsenal and Team K League over the next 15 days (or even if he gets on the plane to Korea).
