Who made this and why is it 65 games?? Obviously Brentford did struggle a bit last season when they lost Toney and Mbuemo and Wissa hadn't really kicked on yet like they did this season. Overall their squad is poorer and cheaper than ours as well. I don't see Iraola as the better option after only one season in the top flight.
Is it so they don’t have to include anges first 10 games where he did well

Also, shock horror, everyone jumping to conclusions yet again and sensationalism aplenty

Has Rat-Boy Neville piped up to vomit out his opinion yet?! 🤣

This stuff all just makes me laugh. When Everton and Forest were in trouble, every Tom, Dick and A***hole was clamouring for the book to be thrown at both clubs. “You knew the rules” they said. “You cheated” they said.

But now Palace might fall afoul of a rule - which EVERYONE who owns a club knows about, by the way - those same people are crying and clamouring for Palace not to be punished.

On what grounds? That the rule is stupid. Well so was the charge against Forest - but that wasn’t accepted as an excuse. (Sorry, I don’t know enough about the charges against Everton)

The owners of Forest, Brighton - even Bournemouth - took the steps to ensure they didn’t break the rule. Palace didn’t. As much as I have absolutely no issue with Palace as a club, or their fans, they broke the rules. I don’t really see why they should get away with it.

The fact that the rules are stupid is irrelevant - as Forest and Everton were told so many times.

Guess when it comes to Palace they haven’t actually broken any rules as such so there is no “punishment”

It’s different to clubs breaking PSR or spending rules etc

Palace aren’t getting away with anything

As a club they have earned their spot in a European competition- at the moment UEFA have told Palace owners that Palace can’t compete in the Europa Lge because the owner also owns a club in the Europa Lge and Conference lge

Other clubs have had the same situation but their owners have used back door rules to get both clubs into the comps - same as what your owner did

Palace are trying to find a way to allow them to play in Europa and the owner is willing to do as other owners have done

I mean, in this situation they have “broken a rule” by having an owner who also owns another club in the competition. And their punishment could be not getting to play in the competition.

BIB - Yes exactly. Everyone knows how to get round it and those whom it affects (or whom it might affect) had plenty of time to act. When Bournemouth got to the QF of the Cup, they did the same apparently.

The owner might be willing to do it now. But he’s missed the deadline. If UEFA don’t uphold their own rule, it sets somewhat of a precedent doesn’t it?

If I remember correct, Red Bull would have had to choose between RB Salzburg and RB Leipzig going into the Euro comp they both almost qualified for. As it happened, in the end they both didn't but the subject had been raised and it was known only 1 of the RB teams would be allowed to enter the comp.

Believe RB Salzburg and Leipzig can both play in the same comp due to Salzburg changing the ownership governance

Are you after a gig at the GM Comedy club? ...Nobody expects Spurs to finish top 4...not next season nor the season after. Nor will they be competitive in the CL.

They will do well to finish top 8 in the PL. They will play their 8 CL games, finish somewhere around 10th-12th in the group, squeak through the play off round and get beat in the round of 16.....and that will be considered progress.

You're right about next season but Spurs are surely ambitious and the aim has to be higher than finishing around mid table, which is what Frank basically is. Even last season Spurs finished 5th with Ange in charge.

The problem with Spurs is if you look at their last 4 managers they've all had different styles and outlooks on the game, no one running the football side of the club seems to know what they're doing.

Frank just looks like an easy and cheap appointment.

Who is the difficult and expensive appointment then?

Finished 17th

Recent league form LLDLLL

No need to manipulate stats 👍🏻

Pretty obvious he had to go 😉

I agree, there’s no need to manipulate the stats, Ange’s league form wasn’t good enough and I don’t think winning the Europa league should have saved him.

The stats were still manipulated though to suit an argument, but the argument is strong enough without the manipulation.

Like I said,no need to manipulate the stats.
Managers are judged on recent form, not something that happened 18 months ago.
Mad that he actually got 3 manager of the month awards at the beginning.

But he’s no longer a majority share holder and moved ownership to a blind trust, as per the UEFA rules. Had we made the champions league, we’d be above board.

It’s not illegal to have multi-club ownership, but you have to have the correct paperwork in place.

Palace’s ownership didnt make sure this was the case before the deadline, and thus must accept whatever punishment they receive.
You must know by now that this only applies when it is not your own club. 😉

The manipulation of the stats was more towards finding a way to show Franks is no better than Ange - Ange started well as Spurs , prob should have had CL last season but was shocking last season in the league - guess in regards keeping him for winning it’s prob split with the spurs fans

We all know that Ange had poor form and it’s why they sacked him but coming up with silly things like 66 games to show Franks is no better than Ange even before he has been given the chance
