Spurs lost more games in one season than anyone in the history of the Premier League without being relegated!
I'm not sure that his head can be held too high. He refused to adapt his way of playing, he kept playing the same way, no matter how frequently and badly they were losing. It was a second rate trophy that got them into CL
Had a horror time with injuries to key players
Spurs haven’t competed for decades , so what does Levy expect from Spurs , he has sacked managers that have got them up into top 4 and looking to move them on as club .
Ange will walk away with his head high winning a trophy - can only win 4 and they picked up one of them
Glory HunterDreadful stuff from Spurs.
They have now lost my support.
They used to be my No1 English team mainly due to Dave McKay John White and Alan Gilzean.
Not any more it's Ipswich and Swindon now

I think some previous sackings have been odd. This one isn't.

I think that’s why he doesn’t always get the credit he deserves for his footballing ability.I like Beckham he deserves his gong for charity work.
It’s the media fawning all about him and his missus I don’t like.
But that’s not his fault.
So well deserved Sir David![]()
It’s not like they’ve sacked him for not winning the league, they avoided being in a relegation scrap because 3 teams below them were truly awful all season.“Spurs haven’t competed for decades…”
Jeez, have you started on the juice early!
5 years ago they tailed off in the last few matches but still finished 4th. 4th a couple of seasons before that, and 3rd a couple before that. Around that time they were in the top 10 season after season…

Absolutely gutted about this, Tottenham having to win on the last day of the season to survive would have been exciting! It’s not like they’ve sacked him for not winning the league, they avoided being in a relegation scrap because 3 teams below them were truly awful all season.

Ok Phil when we say competing,it’s more competing for top 4 for spurs. Is being 3/4th competing now
5 years ago they finished 6th - ( sacked the manager in November )
They had a period from 15/16 to 17/18 when they were 3rd , 2nd and 3rd - but not once in that period did they threaten to challenge for the title in those seasons - and they sacked the manager who did that

Give over. 3/4th is definitely competing. If you seriously think otherwise you’re deluded.
Sacking a manager when they’re well up the league shows ambition.
It’s not that long ago, same era we’re talking about here, that Liverpool had a few 4th’s, 6th’s and a… shock… 8th. You talked them up big here, yet here you are talking Spurs achievements around then as though they were relegation fodder.
Just for once, I dare you, admit you might be a bit off the mark…
Ok Phil when we say competing,it’s more competing for top 4 for spurs.
At the start of the season no one expects them to win it.
This season they finished 17th & lost 22 out of 38 games.
That’s not acceptable & I think you really know that, but can’t beat a good debate![]()
IF spurs had finished the season well & showed progress, you might have a point.Talked Liverpool up when they finish 6th ? 8th ?
So Spurs sacking a manager who got them to a CL final and those times you said they competed is a sign of ambition ?
Is it “competing” for a top 4 spot, the old Wenger top 4 , or is it competing to win trophies
Spurs sacking managers constantly will get them nowhere , it was a shocking season in the league but they redeemed themselves by getting CL next season and winning a trophy - I think he should have been given a chance next season to build on being in the CL
Oi. Utd wanted that second rate trophyHis record last year was embarrassing. Winning a second rate trophy couldn't hide the horror show of the league.
