Arteta is just a weird bloke who says and does weird things. I don't think it's any more complicated than that. If you were at the pub and got stuck talking to him, you'd make your excuses and shuffle off somewhere else.

I didn’t see the interview, so can’t comment on the context, but the comments on their own just lack any class or humility.

I used to like Arteta. As time goes by I am just finding him surly, ungracious and downright irritating. I agree there has been progress under him at Arsenal, but he can’t last too much longer without something tangible to show for it.
