There’s no strong evidence to suggest that Nottingham Forest deliberately unsettled Trevor Francis before signing him. His move from Birmingham City to Forest in 1979—famously becoming Britain’s first £1 million player—was driven more by his own ambition and Forest’s rising status under Brian Clough than by any underhanded tactics.
At the time, Francis was already one of England’s top forwards and had expressed a desire to play at a higher level. Forest were European Cup contenders, and Clough’s persuasive charisma played a big role in convincing him. The record-breaking nature of the transfer also indicates it was a straightforward, albeit groundbreaking, deal.
While clubs sometimes do try to unsettle players, there’s nothing in the historical record to indicate Forest did so in this case.

That’s not bizarre. That’s where the club is at these days. I genuinely think that either Spurs or United will come unstuck tonight.
(That’s reverse psychology, by the way).
My son is at the game tonight. Lives in Bristol, Toon fan, but goes to watch City with a mate. He thinks they'd do a Southampton if they went up so an honourable loss in the play offs would probably be for the best.
He expects Sheffield to win but has a fancy for Coventry to go up. It will be interesting to see how these games go.

If it makes anyone feel better I've gone big on Man Utd.
Bilbao are missing two of their best attackers and will have no choice but to pile forward given the score. Utd will pick them off and I fancy Garnacho to grab a couple.
Really fancy Spurs to get the win for much the same reasons but the pitch could cause an issue.

Actually lost 1-2 at home and got a 1-1 away.
Terrible form coming into the play offs. Occasion too big for them IMO. Who knows though, the play offs are mad!
