@Arthur Wedge and people think that City are the worse ones out there  . It's incredibly wrong and makes a mockery of the points deductions for Everton and Forest if nothing is done to Chelsea.

It’s shocking and the PL haven’t got the balls to stand up to it

Did hear stuff that UEFA aren’t going to allow it

But until the actions match then it’s nonsense

Not sure what they can sell next

I am with you. Thought it was interesting this was even a thing. Surely you want your manager involved
I've never seen the need for a manager to be a performing monkey on the sidelines. These players are professionals, they should be able to work things out, adapt as necessary. With all of the noise that is going on, do the players hear them anyway? I think it is more a show for the fans than the players.

Thought clubs were worried about player wealth and playing too many games

Guess £8mil in the coffers helps them ignore it
It's horrible, playing games after the season ends. I personally have no issue with pre-season tours, as it gets players fit for the season, and with first class flights and 5 star hotels, would feel like a bit of a holiday camp and team bonding session (in my mind anyway).

But, was never a fan of Nations League games right after the end of the season (think it was after the Qatar world cup season), this club world cup or friendlies.

But, as money becomes more and more important, I'm guessing clubs feel like they need to maximize every nook and cranny to get as much income as possible. When other clubs will be handed a wad of cash for playing in the Club World Cup, I suppose other clubs feel they need to minimise the relative loss by generating money themselves. I wonder if this is one of the downsides of the financial restrictions we have in the game now. Even clubs with money can't spend it because it breaches the limits, so they have to generate it in other ways.

I can see a point where Clubs will no longer give all their players time off at the same time, but stagger the players leave over the summer. Have a minimum number of players at work at any given time, and just have several games every single week.

All about promoting the brand in Asia as that is the booming market

Re your last sentence, do you not watch footy in the Premier league?
Exactly the same, full of cheating and diving, add to that, time wasting when it suits. 👍
Yes but I choose not to watch teams in Europe.

It put me off going the match years ago .
It’s the only thing I feel sorry for the ref dealing with the blatant cheats.!

The Overlap Fan Debate seems interesting this week, talking about co-commentary and punditry. I know it is a subject that a few like to moan about in here every now and then, and the views Carragher and Scholes have on it.
