How strong is the Portuguese league compared to the PL though. Sometimes these figures get skewed by the quality of opposition. How many teams on that league would be title contenders and Benfica and Sporting aside who has done it in Europe regularly?
59 goals in 59 games in any league is going some

add in 15 goals in 26 internationals and then 38 in 91 games in the Championship for Coventry, and you have to assume that he knows how to hit the onion bag.

Personally I think it would be a scary front two to pair Gyokeres with Isak!!!

Eight home games beaten at home without scoring to set a new PL record. Sad times indeed at Leicester.
You have to think they will follow Southampton's lead today. Leicester aren't showing anything that suggests an improvement or that the players have learnt from RVN. If you can't see any form of improvement, why wait? At least give the new manager time to look at the players for the rest of the season, prepare for the championship, have a full pre season. Waiting until the end of the season doesn't benefit the club.

Exactly. Also find someone that has experience of the championship as it is definitely a different beast to the PL and games do come thick and fast and many sides play a more direct type of football

Actually it does.
S'ton are looking at the Sheff Wed manager but will have to pay far more in compensation if they hire him as a Premier League club. If they wait until they're officially a Champiuonship side, then they'll be paying far less in compo.

Watched the game last night, just how bad are Leicester, there confidence is at rock bottom, Newcastle didn’t really need to do much to beat them.
Leicester will struggle in the Championship with this current side, they need reinforcements if they want to bounce back on the first attempt.
I’m not sure RVN is the man to take them forward either.

Not sure Newcastle looked great either. Post celebratory would be a polite way to describe it but never needed to get out of first gear

It depends where their next manager is coming from, are they currently employed? You are also weighing up the financial benefits of lower compensation against hitting the ground running in the Championship next season. It's a balancing act.

I agree. The championship is very competitive and anyone in the top 10 still has a chance to make the play offs so you need to hit the ground running. Surely pay the extra nad get someone now so he can work with the players in place, decide who he wants to let go and get in and have the summer to work with everyone in pre-season. Leave it until the end of the season or start of next season and the clock is already ticking and if you don't start fast you can be playing catch up

They're looking at the current manager of Sheff Wednesday, I believe.

Think we have been spoilt in the past.
I agree the standards have dropped.

PSG were a decent side but only scored one goal in two games .
There not prime Barca.
Think Real will step up though they have been lucky up to now.
Don’t watch much foreign footy can’t stand the cheating and diving .
Re your last sentence, do you not watch footy in the Premier league?
Exactly the same, full of cheating and diving, add to that, time wasting when it suits. 👍

Southampton are, yes. As they have defaulted on salaries recently he may get out without compensation, under breach of contract. If not, it comes back to the equation of compensation versus more time with the team.
