Guessing Tuchel doesn't fancy Gibbs White at all. Perhaps having "White" in your surname is a bad omen for England players

Id love them to bring back the England b team

--------------Pope
AWB burn colwill livermento
-rodgers Jones Gibbs white
Bowen--- solanke -- eze

Think they would give the a team a run for their money tbh..

Which James can do... His crosses and free kicks are excellent but he can also defend which Trent struggles with.
He's nowhere near the level that trent is as a footballer.

I think James is head and shoulders ahead of him defensively, nowhere near Trent everywhere else. Just my opinion

Not sure the score matters, the result was never in doubt and qualification should be guaranteed...its the manner of the performance, the same old turgid, uninspiring, unimaginative borefest that is a disappointment.
Yes and to me it proves it’s not the manager it’s the players!
They seem to be different players in an England shirt.

I'm not sure what fans are expecting? For England to go out, play eye catchingly beautiful football against opponents such as these, and get big wins?

From what I see, every other top international side (the ones who actually win tournaments) have narrow results and draws against much weaker sides. So why should England be any different?

England are ultimately a group of players who don't normally play together, coming up against a side who stuck 10/11 men behind the ball. It's not easy to tear the opposition to pieces and score a bucket load of goals, especially as many low ranked international teams these days are still coached much better than decades ago.

It was a boring game, yes. As is also often the case when a top PL side play a team many leagues lower. But, it was still an easy win, job done.

Once England come up against a top side, that is when we'll truly see if England can play front foot, attacking football, or whether they take a more negative approach and set up to defend

That's exactly how I see it and couldn't have put it any better. 👍
We won 3 nil, kept a clean sheet.
By the time we're up against better opposition Tuchel will have implemented his ideas and I expect to see better performances.

It's the entitlement of England fans and media that holds the England team back.

Tuchel has had 8 days with this current squad, many whom he's never worked with before. It will.take time.

Workmanlike performance. I think the days of rolling these sort of sides over regularly 5-0 are long gone, simply because they now drop and press low and space is so cramped. Think Foden has done himself no favours and I would have Bowen in as he is at least more team orientated and won't try and beat loads of players and go off down a dead end. Wasn't convinced by Rashford out wide at all and clearly not his preferred spot or one he is suited too. I think all of those that got forst caps did ok. Lewis-Skelly is a rare diamond and needs looking after. Where the goals come from after Kane is still an issue. Tuchel did what he need to and see where we go in more difficult matches

If those players played for clubs like that the fans would be screaming for them to go. Fans want entertaining football. There isn't a PL club fan on here or anywhere that would be happy with boring turgid football you get when the players put the Ntaional shirt on.
The manager gives a direction, but its up to the players to execute that and know how to do it. If the players in the shirt need someone to hold their hand to work it out then we have a very serious problem.
Everyone talks about players putting more in when a new manager arrives at their club, so as to impress and prove their worth. Do we see that when it comes to England?...hardly.
If you want fans to stay engaged and interested in the National team, the product has to be entertaining and feeling like its been worth it. What we have seen this weekend hasn't been, and the empty seats at Wembley near the end proved that.
It doesnt matter that "its only ..." but the players coudlnt work out themselves how to get past them and quite happily stood around doing diddly passing between static bodies.

Is he the teemu version of Foden?

Was Pep Gaurdiola's 1st weeks team at City the very best version of City back in 2016? No it wasnt. It takes time.

Tuchel needs time. Also he's getting players together for the very 1st time at a crucial part of the season where players eyes may be on other prizes than a couple of games v Albania and Latvia. Add in fatigue. There's a massive overreaction to 2 games thats been won.

That's the definition of entitlement.

You make it sound like all the best club sides play lovely entertaining football against any inferior opponent they come across.

They don't. Latest example I can think of is Liverpool losing to Plymouth. I'm sure Liverpool fans were very disappointed, but weren't screaming for players to go. And had Liverpool won that game 3-0, they would have been completely satisfied, job done.

But, when England play, it seems many fans just feel entitled to seeing awe inspiring attacking football and lots of goals (not too many though, otherwise the opposition are criticised and told they should are not good enough to warrant a game v England). Completely lose the fact it is difficult to break a team down with 11 men behind the ball.

It's laughable to me when fans say the players couldn't work out how to break the opposition down, despite scoring 3 goals :)
