If QPR played Raith Rovers, would commentators also call that "The Battle of Britain?

Just wondering is it just any fixture between an English and Scottish club that gets the title.

Slightly surprised that nobody has mentioned the very slight nudge on Maguire before the Rangers goal. If Yoro’s push leading to the De Ligt goal was a foul, then so was that.

I’m not suggesting either was actually a foul, for the sake of clarity, but where is the consistency?

In fairness to Maguire, he didn't really complain. Don't think either was a foul.

Not sure referees angle, but maybe he didn't see the chap behind Maguire, and Maguire didn't go down like he'd been shot (if he had, ref probably would give free kick)

Whereas for corner, ref is probably looking out for pushes, and ready to blow whistle if he sees one.

How an Earth can they get up to 100 tickets in the wrong end

Not sure INEOS could have stop it with the level of spending and outgoings the club have had over the last ten years

And if Garnacho does go, this will be the reason.

I actually thought he had a decent game last night, but I think the club may be forced into a sale. Sky Sports saying this morning that, such are the peculiarities relating to PSR, if United sell him for £60m, it frees up the best part of £180m under PSR guidelines to reinvest in players who fit into Amorim’s system, which Garnacho really doesn’t.

He’s not a wing back, he’s not really suited to playing in a narrower number 10 role behind a striker. He’s a winger, and in the long term Amorim will not need him. A really good attacking left wing back negates the need for a player like Garnacho.

Loads of Rangers fans around me last night. Went mental when they scored. A bit of squaring up at the end but that's the most i saw

All about pure profit isn’t it

Selling him gets you pure profit ( same if you sold Rashford ) and the you can bring in replacements and amortise the fees to help with PSR

Agree really. It is disappointing in a sense, but I also struggle to see if he could become a really top player as a wing back or as a No. 10. Could argue he is young enough to learn, if he has the potential. But, it concerned me that his early success went a bit too much to his head. He idolizes Ronaldo, as some of his antics and celebrations might have suggested that he thinks he has now made it to that sort of level. He's a player all the fans adore(d) and he can now reap the benefits (especially after scoring that overhead). I'm not convinced he has the awareness that he has many weaknesses, let alone the drive to improve in those areas. Life has become more about embracing the positivity from fans and pundits, buying nice earrings and spending lots on haircuts. Whereas after Ronaldo impressed in his early appearances, you always knew he was 100% driven to train, train and train some more, all the way through his career.

Of course, I could be completely wrong, as it isn't like I've met the guy or seen him train.

He was decent against Rangers, but I wouldn't read too much into that. It is like someone praising me (9 handicapper) because I beat a 25 handicapper in a scratch knockout game :ROFLMAO:

It was the same when Celtic visited in the CL a few years ago. A few near me got hoofed out by police/stewards as soon as the green and white scarfs appeared.

But this is not peculiar to OT. It happens at all grounds, especially in competitions like the Europa League and Carabao Cup, when tickets often go on general sale.

I remember 2008 Europa league final with Rangers in Manchester. I was working that night there.
It was an invasion and I don't use that term lightly.

Another stupid part of the financial rules. How can Garnacho be 'homegrown' when he has only been at Man Utd for less than 5 years?
