We all know what these games are like , the build up is all about us winning comfortably but it becomes one of those ugly games

But this is champions elect versus relegation fodder. One of the best Liverpool sides I’ve seen for several years against head and shoulders the worst United one.

Can’t see anything other than a very comfortable Liverpool win, unless Amorim has worked wonders in the few uninterrupted days he has had on the training pitch with his players.

How many times have we seen those match ups get thrown out the window and the underdog getting a result

Just glad to get this game out of the way today, and then we can focus on the relegation run in.

Since Xmas, I'm actually hoping teams like Palace, Everton, Ipswich, etc lose points to give us some breathing space. That is the first time I've ever had such a mindset in nearly 35 years of following Utd.

Why not just play it with no fans? No danger from travelling, no fixture pile up for Liverpool fans to moan about later in the season when they go through a losing streak, and it is on TV anyway.
TV fans get enough benefits, let's have some degree of fairness to the match day fan. They've bought their season ticket, match day tickets, they should be able to watch the game.

In addition, an empty stadium with no atmosphere is awful for the TV companies. Not the product they want to sell around the world.

The point of cancellation is to protect fans who are traveling. Cancel the game, no one turns up. Play the game, people will try to get there, in unsafe conditions. Tell people the game is on but you are locked out and your ticket is void, you'd have a very unpleasant situation.

The current situation is right, on or off. No halfway house

No problem with him at all, always puts in a shift.

When Loppy was at Wolves did he have a recognisable system? Because I got my trusty Texas Instruments red LED calculator out today - (last used in 1977, and only then to write the word "boobs" in numbers to impress my friends. It was a Millwall comprehensive and that is what passed for intelligence there at the time)

Sadly, I think we have to wait a little longer for Loppy to try all possible permutations of an 11 man team from a squad of 25.

According to my maths, there are 4,457,400 different combinations of an 11 man team from a squad of 25.

In a basic 38 game season, that means it will take 117,300 years to try every possible permutation. I’m a patient man but I’m getting on in years.😁
Epic fail.....with a bit more thought and effort you could have got BOOBIES or even ESSO OIL 🤦‍♂️

As it stand Ipswich arent playing the game. On for their second win in a row and third win in five.

There will be a shortage of carrots and tractor prices will go through the roof if this sort of form continues.

Just as I was typing they go and revert to being Ipswich.

swap the struck out text with the non struck out text

Hoping to get a pair of roller skates similar to Delap's if anyone knows where they are from.

Cheering a Fulham goal because we wasted half a season on a genuine moron. What a sad life.

I wasn't fully focussed on the game but what I saw of Ipswich I quite liked. Marco Silva though. Made Arteta look positively laid-back.

Oh dear. Whatever the outcome at Anfield, my enjoyment or otherwise of the Sky coverage will be blighted by the fact Daniel Sturridge is providing punditry. The man is an absolute first grade clown.
