Yes you did .
Would you like to explain ankle height.
Actually, I didn't. I said 'more ankle height than knee height'.

Sure.
Ankle height is about 3" above the ground, knee height is about 20" above the ground.
Therefore a tackle made at, say, 11" above the ground would be described as more ankle height than knee height.
It really is that simple, well, it is in my head.

But one that has, I believe, only ever been sent off once. Over 6 years ago when he still played in Argentina
That's a remarkable statistic when you watch him play. He has a bad / nasty tackle in him that he displays far too regularly. Those tackles aren't excessively forceful, they are nasty, potentially career ending. He is a very good player but that red mist makes him a liability at times.

Not sure he has ended anyone's career? Maybe he has beaten the odds?

Yes, his foot yesterday caught Palmer on knee. But, only after Martinez had put the breaks on with his left foot, and tried to use his right to stop Palmer. No force in it at all, and Palmer was absolutely fine.

I see him as tenacious. He is committed to the challenge, he won't shy away. Sure, every now and then it will be mistimed. But, I don't see him as ever trying to be nasty and intentionally trying to hurt someone.

Complete opposite to players like Garnacho and Rashford of course. There was a moment in game yesterday where ball was hit high in air. Garnacho was closest, but he stood stationary about 5 yards away, absolutely no intent to try and win the ball. Therefore, Chelsea end up winning it after it bounces, and led to Neto's chance where he dragged it wide. If Utd had more players with the fight of Martinez, I reckon we'd be miles better off simply by winning more balls and 50/50s up front.

Would say that he has got very lucky then when there has been two red card tackles alone this season he has got away with

The two footed lunge against Palace and yesterday
There are many many players you can say have got away with borderline challenges in the past. Others, like Bruno, who have been unlucky the other way.

So, not sure it is useful keeping a portfolio of such memories, as we could do it with most

Yes there are many - but the talk is about Martinez 🤷‍♂️

What other players get away with or are unlucky with is irrelevant- Martinez appears to be a bit nasty when playing and whilst he is committed has gone over the line a few times , seems to have a habit of being a little late going through the back of players

How he got away with this is laughable

You won’t get struck by lightning if you just say - yeah he has gotten away with a few and at times has gone too far

It isn't irrelevant. Because when referring to someone as a nasty piece of work, presumably it is relative to what other players do.

So, I could post a thousand stills featuring other players, and we could call all of them nasty pieces of work.

But, not going to drag up debates we did to death at the time an incident happened. I'm sure most find it boring

I agree. And I’m optimistic we can hang around like Villa did last season but I’ve had a lot of disappointment as a Forest fan so I’m also trying not to get too carried away 😆

Nuno's done it before. Get carried away, that's the whole point. Like he always says, "dreaming is for free."

*can you tell I'm really missing him 😢
