I can believe you probably have it on your wall at home, maybe on the bedroom ceiling, only thing that gets you pool supporters going these days.
Really ? 🤔

Nah the sideshow that is Everton adds extra amusement

Going to be great stadium in the championship though

In other news what the heck is that shirt Arsenal are wearing

@LT, I really thought Everton had improved but early signs are and must be very disconcerting for their fans . Dyche has got a huge amount of work to get them ticking and getting their heads up again after such a poor start .
We clearly don't score many. We have bought some slightly more offensive players but he hasn't started them yet. Playing cautiously is fine if you keep clean sheets but if you don't then you are in trouble.

I'd like to see him start some of the new guys, let's freshen things up a bit. We can't keep doing more of the same, that's for sure.

Bournemouth at home next weekend, important game already.

Big result that for Arsenal, not at their best for the first 60 but Arteta got the subs right and it won them the game.

With Timber back from his injury and Calafiori coming in, they've got the best defence by a mile. I questioned the signing of Raya at the time but it's proved a masterstoke and he's turned himself into one of, if not the best keeper in the league.

Still need another striker to topple City though IMO.

I thought Tony was off to Arsenal, but obviously not.
Doesn’t seem to be many top strikers about now.

I think that's due to question marks over Toney's form since his ban, where he's not looked the same player. I reckon Brentford are asking £50m plus for him which is a lot for a striker that hasn't been in form for nearly 18 months.

Definite lack of top strikers around now. I still think Toney would be worth it based purely on the fact Arsenal dominate most games and have to break down deep lying defences, a physical beast with an eye for goal would be great additon. He'd be worth it as a Plan B when you consider what the prize is.

Great to be back at villa park today. Great atmosphere around the place, lots of changes in and around the stadium, doing a lot to improve the infrastructure all around villa park and that’s great to see!

Great game overall, very positive just couldn’t hit the back of the net. Arsenal took 2 chances well, they need to find another gear this season to beat city though, early days, hope someone stops city!

On to the next!

Up the villa!!!

Interesting to see if they disallow this as it looks like it’s hit the sleeve ?

So they do disallow it yet when they do the offside they use the sleeves 🤔

And that’s shocking from Joelinton

No surprise it’s Coote - once again shocking refereeing from him

I would say it hits Burn on the shoulder at the same time.
So should be a pen if that’s handball.

How can any ref and VAR not think that’s a red for Joelinton that’s abysmal.

Nothing surprises anymore

I don’t blame a manager going mad about that

They have pretty much robbed Bournemouth of two points there

It’s nothing but incompetence

No doubt there will be another apology from Webb

What about “Refs call”
VAR interfered when he’d given the goal.
But didn’t even go and have a look himself ? Minimum I would expect in the circumstances!

But didn’t intervene in joelinton assault.!
Piss poor still.
