Remember the old days when a wide person would whip a cross in? CF could make a run, lose a defender, bullet header.

Now it's go wide, stop, go back onto stronger foot, maybe cross, maybe pass back to the full back. In the meantime the CF has either made 5 failed runs or just not made any runs, because why? 🤷🏻‍♂️

I saw Shearer talking about this recently on MotD. He was steaming about it.

The ridiculous thing is that, despite the defeat, I am prettymhappy with what I saw.
I genuinely believe United deserved to get something from that game.
If we play like that on Wednesday I can see us getting a result.

We didn’t create much, but a far more cohesive display than many I’ve seen this season.

Huge claim just made by Wayne Rooney on Sky - that there are “injured” players at United who could perhaps be playing. I’d like to know what he knows that we don’t.

Despise Merson as a pundit. He just sits there and shouts the whole time. It's as if the producers have pulled out a tipsy Arsenal fan from the pub and asked him to be a pundit.

It’s a modern thing these days where you have some players that will only play if 100% - gone are the days when players played through aches and niggles

We had it with Sturridge and then Keita

You won't see another player like Phil Neal playing the season with a broken toe and keeping it quiet so he wouldnt miss being picked for the 11. Those days are long gone.
