Today it a pretty good example of Rashford. Anyone watches MOTD2 only, they'll think he is some player, with that goal replayed over and over.

Anyone who watched the full game, they'll see how poor Rashford was. Not the only one of course, quite a few poor performances. I doubt a big side are preparing a huge bid for McTomminay this summer.

guess the Rashford goal was a false dawn , Utd have been outclassed by a City team that weren’t great today apart from Foden.

Going to be hype central until next Sunday now

United outclassed in every aspect of the game today.
On the bright side ........................ I don't think we picked up any fresh injuries!
City's next two games are L'pool and Arsenal, title could be done by then.

You know the worst thing for me if I was a United fan would be the fact that the players didn’t even look like they were trying to win. After city scored their second you barely saw a United player sprint. Embarrassing for them. At least go down fighting

Utd were outclassed and tbh everyone knew they would be. Foden and Rhodri are aweomse players.

Least we showed a bit of fight , esp in the first half. I’d have liked to have seen us play the ball in behind more as opposed to tippy tap it out.

Pleased for the city fans who seemed to turn up once they scored.

Well I said at half time it was a good game for the neutral.

Not sure where to start. But from the first City Kick off Utd dropped and that set the tone for the game. It was a Derby game and the first “ foul” was in the 26th minute. What kind of a Derby is that, surely you have to get in amongst them.
if City Kick off next week v Liverpool I expect Liverpool to be in Citys faces, again. Utd at times showed they can play football, but no where near enough. 3 shots in 89 minutes. Not good enough.
When I saw Rashford go down under a soft challenge by Walker, i immediately thought of what Billyboots has said about Rashford. He showed 1 touch of world class and the rest of the game was missing. But he wasn’t the only one.
Re City. Haaland misses another Sitter then scores an harder goal. Foden showing once more he is a class act.
Next week is a massive game re the title and come what may, the door opens for Arsenal whatever the result.

Oh ah, on a positive re the forum. There won’t be 10 pages of opinion on the game today. That will be next week 😁😉👍

If City win next week there’s definitely going to be something “controversial” 😂

When Rashford scored that fabulous goal, as much as I enjoyed it I will confess my heart sank, as I could hear my golfing mates and one or two on here sharpening their knives!

So it was curiously heartening to see him reverting largely to type for the rest of the game, most notably when he went down so easily under a non-challenge from Kyle Walker.

I expected to lose today. Had 4-1 City in my Super6. But I’m not despondent. This was nowhere near the chaotic performance of 12 months ago and, given the fact the United defence has been absolutely decimated I don’t feel anywhere near as disillusioned as I have done.

I was way more depressed last weekend.

That depends who the ref is, and if he knows the rules!😉

The scary thing is Man City never really turned up bar Foden and Rodri. KDB played a bit like he was the kid at school who owned the ball and tried too hard to run the game by himself. It got very predictable at times and Foden really stepped up when it mattered.

ETH set the team up well in the first half and Onana had a decent half too. In the second both were found out again and it was so one sided it become embarrassing. I thought Onana was at fault for the second and went down in installments then showed his usual weak wrists.

If Ratcliffe is as serious as he sounds, he needs to get the new manager in place ASAP so he has the final few months to look at the squad and start to implement his style. A chaotic pre season flying all over the world isn't the best prep, especially with European players being late back after the Euros.
