You can sell the stadium when your relegated to the Vanaramma league.
The players will leave!🤣🤣
They might, but the fans won’t 😁👍

oddly enough I read a good piece the other day were City have a fantastic crop of young players who will be around when this is heard. If the club gets relegated and players leave. They can step in and play to a good standard. 👍

I’ll never forget the look on my 9 year old’s face. We watched it in a bar in Majorca whilst on an enforced early summer holiday, as my force had banned all leave that summer from June 1 to August 31 because of the London Olympics.

It cost me a fortune in ice cream to try and cheer the poor lad up. Me? I just had a beer and adopted the attitude that you can’t win them all.
I was in Mary Dees pub outside the ground crying. 😁

I'll bite.

1. Don't know
2. Don't know

What I do know is whatever happens nothing will ever remove the amazing memories of the past several years after decades of rubbish. Beautiful football. Wonderful players. Trophies galore. Success in style.

That's all I'm saying on the subject so have a go all you like 🤪

Surely if City are found guilty then all that success is tainted or doesn’t that matter

Even if they take away the titles, the memories for the fans will still be there and I would imagine they won’t care if they are “tainted”.
This 100%.

From a fans perspective, the players weren't doped, refs weren't bribed, this is about finances only. They've seen utd, liverpool, Chelsea, Chelsea 😉, buy titles for years with no restrictions in place. Suddenly City splash cash to buy players and that isn't allowed 🤷‍♂️. City fans will not care one jot, the titles are theirs as far as they are concerned.

Not sure about that. If the PL title was taken away from Liverpool, Leicester or Blackburn, would their fans care? If all the titles Utd won under Sir Alex were taken away, I'd care. I'd probably argue it was won fairly by players on pitch, but I'd still be annoyed by it.

If titles were stripped from City, then the teams that came 2nd would presumably become champions. I'm not sure City fans would be absolutely fine with that.

Mind you, I doubt the titles will be stripped from them. They'll probably just get penalised going forward.

As I've said before whilst ffp is suppose to stop clubs having owners come in , spend stupid then leave them going bust in reality it keeps the rich clubs Rich and stops a Chelsea or a city happening

Newcastle already having to sell players rather than have a chance of success .. but if it was united and Liverpool throwing that kind of cash around it's fine because they have "earned it"

Much like the PIP for the pga tour. the already richest players get some bunce to make sure their still rich

What seems to of been lost in all this.FFP Was brought in more or less as soon as City were bought by Sheik Mansoor. City had to spend serious amounts of money to get to the top table. Buying players and paying wages that Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea were already paying. It was put in place to protect the top table with a guise of making football sustainable. To stop clubs from going bust. Clubs have gone bust though.
Clubs have complained about the money City have spent but at the same time took the illegal Money.

weren't Liverpool and Mau U pretty much self finaniced due to being amongst the biggest clubs in the world?

Maybe all the City hounors should have a * next to them like people wanted with Liverpool's title

It's after the event, the moment has gone. City fans will still see those titles as theirs, they had the elation etc.

This probably comes down to the crux of the matter, I don't care if they were self financing or not. The end result is they were out spending all of the other teams. What do those other teams do, just accept that? Does football accept a 2-3 club league? No thanks. If that means a rich person comes in and gives a club a helping hand, I'm fine with that. Give them a boost, maybe they then don't need the money boost after a while. The profile of Chelsea is massively different now to the pre Roman era, City the same. Neither could have made that leap without the money ploughed in.

The above comments will explode the minds of some people, mainly those from the established, wealthy clubs. That's fine, that's their view and they are fully entitled to disagree.

We have had money in football buying success before with blackburn and Chelsea

Without those it would always be the same teams over and over

One team dominating then using their money to dominate more

Fergie broke the mold when he got the class of 1992 but now academies are restricted more by distance for players. so would Beckham be able to be with them? Would Carrick of been able to come through our academy? .. without the class of 92 united would never have dominated like they did .. they used that to build more and more success

So what we are suppose to want to see united , arsenal and Liverpool win everything forever? That's boring

Chelsea and city have made things interesting... City went too far and dominated however klopp brought Liverpool back to competing again and actually got the league interesting once more

The league needs competitive nature .. if it needs outside investment to do so .. meh

It doesn’t matter why they brought in FFP it was still rules that clubs must abide by

It doesn’t matter how money a club makes or how rich an owner is that doesn’t mean it should be ignored when rules are broken and what happened for clubs in years past are irrelevant

If Man City are found guilty then it’s cheating at the end of the day - all those players that arrived to create memories and titles did so because the club cheated financially - it’s no different to bribes , drugs etc

Every trophy they won during that period will be tainted and even any trophy since because they have got to their position through financially cheating

The excuse that “protect top clubs” etc etc doesn’t wash , that’s not an excuse to be able ignore rules
