It's time to bring In the elite female refs to the premier league

Bar Micheal Olivier our refs are pretty awful and the players show them no respect.

I bet behaviour would improve with the ladies in charge because what self respecting man would get in a women's face and shout abuse at her.

Also it would make joey Barton's head explode so it's a win win

Given the way “some” footballers treat women and animals in their personal lives, maybe they wouldn’t act any differently to female referees.

Would work against them in their court cases

There was contact albeit very slight and almost certainly not enough to put Bruno on his arse however it’s to be expected nowadays so was always going to be a penalty.

How bad is Hojland? It's not the lack of chances he gets it's the fact he's utter rammel, to quote Tashy.

Lanky, weak, can't head, can't hold it up, can't pass, can't shoot, no composure.....all for £70m. It's about time Garnacho got a run in the middle.

A 2-0 win for Utd is their equivalent of opening up the floodgates.

Dalot with Man (Player) of the Match. I'd have given it to Mainoo or Garnacho.

League One opposition but Mainoo looked very good. Bruno for MOTM, a level above anyone else. Not even out of first gear and ran the show.

You obviously havnt been keeping up with how some PL players treat women.

I can’t see them being any different !

This is a wind up, right?

Notwithstanding the fact he should have scored tonight, I’m stunned at some of your assertions.

You can’t surely believe he’s weak and can’t hold the ball up. Really? If you actually watch him then, the majority of the time, the absolute opposite is true. With his back to goal he holds the ball up as well as anyone I’ve seen in a red shirt for a while. Exceptionally difficult to bully off the ball.

And his link up play, given the absence of anyone within 20 yards of him for much of this season to date, has actually been pretty good. But you can only link up with what’s available, which has mostly been not a lot.

It’s absolutely nothing to do with the lad, who is 20 years of age let’s not forget, that United stumped up £70m for him. The weight of expectation on him, through absolutely no fault of Hojlund’s, has been huge.

But anyone who goes to Old Trafford to watch games will tell you the regulars love this fella. They are 100% behind him. They certainly won’t judge him based on half a season in a horribly misfiring side.

Yes as a CB of old I think he looks a right hand full.!

Standards have dropped more than I thought if you're genuinely defending him. He's been crap, pure and simple. I know he's young, theres a lot of pressure and he's not in a balanced side but the same can be said for Garnacho, who is played out of position and still looks something special.

He doesn't hold the ball up well, he's been a downgrade on Weghorst if that was even possible. That's how bad he's been.

I remember the days when a Man Utd striker was judged on getting 30 goals. Van Nistelrooy, Rooney, Van Persie etc. I admire you for backing your player but that's part of the problem. Blind faith on players not fit to wear the shirt. Scott McTominay is better than him in every way apart from pace when it comes to being a striker. And he's a midfielder!

As the Jan Transfer Window is open I was thinking about some of the great signings that have been made during the window and then on the opposite side - the flops

So who is your clubs best and worst

For Liverpool it’s prob 3 at the Top

Virgil Van Dijk - cost a lot , in fact it was a popular opinion that it was a huge overspend but he transformed the team and took it another level

Suarez - lots have been said about him and his antics but as a footballer he is one of the best the Prem has seen when it comes to pure ability - just had more than one screw loose

Coutinho - cost £8mil and was just a revelation being a key part in Rodgers team and then Klopps - sold for £130mil plus

Worst

Andy Carroll - all the ability , made of glass and just not suited to the team

Kabak - came in during an injury crisis, slower than a comatose tortoise and turning circle of a tanker

Other notables for other clubs

Man Utd - Evra and Vidic were outstanding

Chelsea splashing £50mil on Torres

Everton getting Coleman for £60k

I haven't watched Hoijland to judge, but just on McTominay - I've seriously wondered why they've not given him a game up top. They seem to think he's a defensive midfielder still, yet all his best games come from number 10 just off the striker, and he's their top scorer. Just play him false nine??

I mean this gives you a clue:

Further forward he is the better he plays. Weaknesses of discipline and passing and they play him holding midfield? Stupid. (Granted I believe these stats include Scotland games where they do play him at number 10 now and he's banged goals for them too.)
