I keep getting told this new united keeper is class

I've yet to see anything that suggests he is better than average (since playing for united I mean)

That's amazingly polite!😁 He's dreadful

Has to be the transfer fee

If they had paid say 10 mil for him you forgive things more but £43 million??

Ederson and Allison cost a fortune but you could see instant class from them

Is Ten Hags position under threat, United are absolutely murder.
I hope not. United are awful defensively. However, in my 30 odd years of supporting them, I have never known so many absences through injury or other reasons. I think only Rashford, Bruno, Casemiro and Onana have been available every game, who you'd consider 1st choice. Other players just keep dipping in and out as they come available. After all, when Liverpool lost Van Dijk a few years ago, or Arsenal Saliba last season, many of their fans used that as an excuse for their poor form.

Of course, ten Hag needs to find a way to stay more solid, because I suspect it is far too difficult for different players to get on each others wavelengths. They are reactive, not proactive. So he'll always be under pressure.

I'm really liking Hojlund though, the one positive to come from tonight. And I like Mount's energy

Oh, the joys of being a United fan at the moment. We at long last bring in a forward with huge potential, and are more porous at the back than I can remember in years.

I get that we are missing players, but these defenders are international players and they are shocking.

But there is no doubt Onana's ridiculous mistakes have cost Utd in both Champions League games. Especially tonight, as Bayern may still always have won. Ten Hag can't really be held responsible for individual errors like that. Sure, there was a debate as to whether de Gea should have stayed or not, but when decision was made, no one really questioned Obana. Reports were generally glowing about him.

I still think he’ll come good, but he was poor tonight. He threw Casemiro under a bus with that pass, and was nowhere near good enough for the third goal - he dithered and then failed to make himself anywhere near big enough. A far from inspiring display, but his confidence will not be helped by the disarray in front of him.

True, the 3rd goal was bad from him, but God knows what our centre backs were doing? I know possession was turned over, but they were in absolutely terrible positions. It is no wonder Utd look to be extremely vulnerable as soon as they lose the ball.

Onana....what's your name, what's your name? :ROFLMAO:

Absolutely useless. To think a few people were defending him as if he were a cross between Gordon Banks and Beckenbauer a few weeks ago.

He's finished. He's wasted £400m on rubbish and set you back another few years. All you've got to show for it is a tinpot League Cup. I remember the days when Man Utd turned their noses up at the FA Cup. Palace and Gala at home are about the two easiest games you'll get and two defeats is embarrassing. ETH will never win the PL or CL, which is the level Man Utd belong at, so why waste time on a fraud?

It’s not been discussed that much, primarily because of the woeful performances at the back, but Rashford really does need to be given some time out.

Sure, he grabbed an assist for the first goal, but the reality was it wasn’t the best cross - he fired it at Hojlund who perhaps couldn’t do anything but score. But the glaring error when clean through on goal, when he neither shot when he should have done, nor put a cross in when he eventually bottled it, absolutely sums up his appalling decision making.

United look a better side when Rashford isn’t in it. It’s time to give Garnacho a run.
