Correct, there isnt a "reasonable excuse" as i stated.

The VAR and AVAR in the room were not concentrating on the job. That for me is gross negligence. It really is as simple as that.

I'm merely offering my view on a topic that is being discussed, not sure how that is continually showing my outrage:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Lynch mob?? Just for having an opinion? Grow up.

Well done on spectacularly missing the point.
OK, I apologise, I didn't get all you were doing was continually repeating your opinion in as many ways you could think off. The repetitive nature of your comments, I assumed it is something that had angered you, you were trying to get it off your chest, and you wanted a particular outcome that didn't seem to be forthcoming :)

I'd imagine they were concentrating as normally as humans do. But we all have lapses in concentration. Like a very good and safe driver who sometimes pulls out of a junction, narrowly avoids an accident and then things "flippin heck, how did I not see that!". Which is why the communication protocol needs to be better.

I'm sarcastically loving Alan Shearers View on the BBC website, where he seems to continually contradict himself in the space of 90 seconds when he expresses his strong opinion on the VAR incident.

He starts off by saying it is chaotic because there are so many voices being heard (I'm not sure the onfield referee hears everyone's voice, or he is simply wired up to the VAR guy and his onfield officials). He then says "I think more football people should be in that room, helping them make decisions, who have played the game of football

He then accused that both the guys in the VAR room got it wrong (that wasn't the case at all, it was the main VAR guy that got it wrong in communication, as he was told it was onside, but then his msg made it appear offside was the correct decision).

Mr Shearer, thanks for demonstrating exactly why people like you should be nowhere near it.

Folks, calls to “grow up”, “shut up” and so on are really not necessary. Let’s all take a deep breath, agree where we can and agree to disagree where we can’t, and move on.

Thanks.

Come on Mods, start dishing out some punishment to those being abusive, clearly breaking the new forum community guidelines

Feel free to use the report function if you see something you are unhappy with. I’m sure I speak for the entire moderating team when I say we cannot possibly read every word, of every post, under every thread.

I dont think anybody is suggesting you can read every post, and using the report function will no doubt become important with the new rules in place. However, you have literally quoted someone, so it has clearly been read.

I don’t consider someone telling someone else to shut up, or grow up, to be worthy of an infraction. Hence a polite request to EVERYONE to consider their comments.

There is more than one way to moderate, and not all involve dishing out points.

Please forgive me for this, but I feel I have to react. I've just heard Jurgen Klopp has come out and said replaying the game would be the right thing to do.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

I never need another reason to dislike Liverpool football club as much as I do, but it is the gift that keeps on giving :)

And again, hahahahahahahahahahahaha

If we replay every game where a VAR gaff directly impacts on a result, the fixture schedule is going to become very, very congested.

Maybe that’s a reason to conclude VAR is broken as a system then.
Do we go back to no corrections then? VAR works well most of the time, don't know the % but I suspect it is pretty high. It gets most thing right. Take that away and more decisions in the game are incorrect (not surprising considering the pace of play now).

Is that a better place to be?

Going back the fault is referees.
Current situation the fault is referees.
Going forwards the fault is referees.

I’m starting to think there might be a pattern.

Stuart just shut up ,we have all had enough of your bleating and drum bashing on the subject now .
Like I have previously posted ,suck it up other teams have had bad decisions go against them and where were you defending them .
It's happened it's history let it go.
I let it go sunday, keep up mush.

Have a very nice day though Mr Angry;)

Referees can never get everything completely right. It isnt possible.

Video review adds value to all other sports, but the richest game on the planet is failing?
