What's the point of us even having a go if you get robbed like that?
Tim Howard says he's seen 'keepers do that a thousand times and never have a penalty given against them.
To be fair, he’s not wrong. Second best day I’ve had in a football stadium that, after the 2001 fa cup final with my dad in Cardiff. On a positive. Sat in a bar in Athens watched the game. Talking to a young lad employed by UEFA. Here for the City game. He has shown me some videos from Istanbul. Behind the scenes. Bloody hell. Unbelievable Geoff. Asked him
His favourite game he has been to. England women winning the EUROS.
Loved his time even though he is a Utd fan.
I think if you look at it impartially you’d perhaps understand why. United could equally argue that the Wolves player, who wasn’t punched by the way, impeded Onana in his attempts to clear the ball. I’m not saying that’s my view, just what could be argued.
In the cold light of day it’s a collision between two players. Not sure there’s enough there for a penalty.
It’s a penalty for me. The Wolves player is more or less jumping up for the ball. The keeper misses the ball and jumps into the Wolves player. Clumsy and badly timed but those are rarely given against keepers.
Very much not the case nowadays. If a club want rid of a player and he doesn't want to go he ain't going.I very much agree with all of the above BUT what about if a player is really settled at a club, family are settled in the area, playing really well and a club decides to sell?
In reality, an employer will move you on as soon as it makes good business sense.
Is loyalty a one way street?

The only way round that is to pay up his contract and the player isn't losing out on that one.

If 2 players jump to head the ball, one is going to win the header, the other is not. Inevitably they will collide. It is not a free kick or penalty every time against the player who fails to win the ball.If you mistimed a tackle with your feet and don't get the ball at all it's a foul
He completely misjudged his jump and went through 2 players
Refs association has apologised. It's not just a collision, it's a wipe out. Anyway, a badly timed collision by one player is a foul.Is that not a collision between two players who were both looking at the ball? I suspect that’s how the officials would have viewed it.
That said, I might be muttering like a good ‘un if I’d been a Wolves fan.
That's a classic 'back in the day' comment. Centre halves went through strikers constantly, and then they couldn'tTim Howard says he's seen 'keepers do that a thousand times and never have a penalty given against them.
Indeed, although everyone had always known goalkeepers are treated differently, and often over protected if anything. The reason being that the goalkeeper is pretty critical to defending a goal, and if they are on the ground injured or taken out of play, it suddenly makes it significantly easier for opposition to score. That's a classic 'back in the day' comment. If an attacker takes out a keeper like that it would be a foul every time. It's a foul, simple.
There are some seriously red glasses being worn here![]()
The most worrying thing I saw was how easy it looked for wolves players to run at the Utd defence.Well, looked like the same Manchester United as last season.
No fluency to their play, devoid of ideas when going forward and playing as individuals.
Ten Haag has got his work cut out to make top 4 this season already in my opinion, just by what I’ve seen from other teams who will be there or their about‘s this season.
If I was a United fan, I’d be slightly worried even after one game.
