He was playing football, not rugby.

He looked fine after play restarted. The need to take more time with keepers though, as they can't be taken off the pitch while play resumes.

Wish he'd been taken off just before penalty though, he isn't very good at them
He took a ball flush in the face, and was unrepsonsive to start with and then looked "groggy" according to the radio commentary. If concussion is going to be taken seriously in all sports, football has to act just as rugby has done.

have you seen the social media post where the Forest and Man City fans are chanting about the European Cup?
Yea, it's great isn't it! Depending on which video you've seen, the one from the Forest end is the section I sit in. Usually a good craic with most away fans. Unless they just end up sitting in silence for the whole game.

Anthony must be worst Brazilian since Stevie wonder tried to shave his wife’s growler
Interesting opinion.

As a Man Utd fan, I actually don't mind him too much. He is almost constantly looking for the ball, never really seems to go missing, and will never be shy to take people on. It often means 2 or 3 defenders try and team up on him to stop him. When things go well, he does a great job of unlocking defences, and creating space for others.

Of course, he can be frustrating as well. He can get in positions to create chances, but can often hit a really tame shot (not often he scores the screamer into the far corner), and his lack of a right foot has been well documented. And, he has a short fuse.

I can think of several Brazilians who have been worse in my eyes. Anderson and Kleberson for Man Utd. Robinho seemed to be a bit of a let down? Richarlison has been a big flop this season. There are probably a host of other Brazilians, who maybe played for clubs lower down in PL, are lived most of their time on the bench, and therefore I can't even remember them to name them.

I'm not being funny, but what on earth are those kit release pictures from Liverpool?

Do footballers play in cords these days? :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

If concussion is going to be taken seriously, then the words of a commentator, or the observations of the arm chair fan should not really be taken into account. Rather, it should be the medics on the field, the guys who are there and trained to evaluate such things. There are plenty of occasions that players collapse on the field after contact, look groggy, stunned, etc, and then are perfectly OK a minute or 2 later.

Had he continued to look dizzy after play continued, and then had to be taken off, then I would question how he managed to passed the first tests to begin with. But, he was OK.

I do agree that head injuries need to be taken more seriously in football, where temporary subs can maybe be made while a player is given 5-10 minutes to potentially recover, or confirm a head injury. But, until that is put in place, then the medics and players can only follow the protocols that are available to them.

In a team with Fred?
I think Fred is Utds answer to Liverpool’s firmino when it comes to smiling. At least Firmino does something
His legs look to have gone
Looks a mile off the pace imo.

Totally agree, head injury, off the pitch for 10 minutes for a thorough check up by a neutral medic to avoid pressure being applied to team doctors. Pass the HIA then back on the pitch, fail and the sub stays on. Follow that up with well drafted back to play protocols for those suffering from concussion. It is not that difificult and is easily applied in no end of sports.

Dont know the commentators name, but he had Stuart Pearce as his side kick and both said they would have taken him off as he didn't look good to start with.
I think Pearce has some knowledge of the game:)

I'm sure he does. But I doubt he is a trained doctor?

Given that there are probably hundreds of posts on this thread alone, mocking the words of many different commentators opinions on the game they played professionally, then it would be strange to suddenly accept their comments on medical issues with blind faith.

Agree with this. It makes no sense, he doesn't fit with how they play or how the squad has been put together. Unless he has been brought in to keep Lallana company on the bench or physio's room?
Think Milner is a solid free transfer for them - especially when they will prob play in Europe , still one of the fittest around and will provide great experience, was hoping he signed for one more year for us
Don't think so tbh, he's done alright in an underperforming Liverpool side and scope to get better and better.
He has played 40 games in all comps , started 28 , scored 15 goals and 5 assists
.

For his first season in the league in a team not playing as well as they can he had done ok

Was he injured recently? Noticed he played 39 mins last PL game, 56 mins in one before that. Didn't play in the 3 before that. Looking through the whole season, he has played less than 60 minutes around 19 times. Not sure how much of that is due to injury, and how much due to Klopp thinking he has better, more reliable options for certain games?

15 goals and 5 assists with limited game time… sounds like he’s not done too bad.
