Chelsea down in 12th, and even 2 wins might not see them rise more than place. I never expected such a massive fall from them. But, as I said to Mrs Hobbit, I barely recognise a single player on their team. A squad of (almost) nobodies, bit like Utd a few seasons back. Long road back??

I know it wont happen...... but, Lampard could be the first manager to have a direct hand in 2 clubs getting relegated in a single season from the same division.

Heard a joke earlier which I can’t really say lol, something about Lampard being a worse caretaker than…ouch 😬
Than Christian Stellini?

People even thinking about Chelsea being relegated are daft to be honest. They could certainly lose all their games, but you'd need Leicester, Leeds and Forest to all get 9 or 10 points from four games. It's practically impossible.

Looks like Villa are getting themselves a new sporting director Mateu Alemany - from Barcelona.

Few thoughts floating around in my head:

We already have Johan Lange who has made some great signings and everything I read suggests he's also going nowhere - so what happens to him
Whilst its obviously well documented about Barca's financial issues, has this guy been a shot caller on some of their truly horrific moves recently? Some do feel more "vanity" signings than long term planning ones.
Its reported that he will leave Barca on 30th June and start with us on 1st July but that he will also still see through Barca's summer recruitment - massive conflict of interest????

Im not worried about him ruining the business side and our finances, Purslow seems to do a really good job with that stuff for us.

Has any player ever been a bigger waste of money than Joao Felix?

10m loan fee and 300k+ a week for 6 months of nothing :ROFLMAO:

I think Joao Felix is a player that could flourish under Pep. In fact am sure he was after him at one time. But am not sure any player has grown this year. Be interested to hear from the Chelsea fans who their player of the year is.

I don't disagree that he could be great under the right manager.

But as it stands, Chelsea paid 10m for 6 months of service (plus massive wages), they're out of every cup and finishing below 10th. :ROFLMAO:

Its a lot of sheer outlay for absolutely nothing in return.

Enzo Fernandes? Think Chelsea sent the offer over with the decimal point in the wrong place.

He is a decent player but another example of why you shouldn’t go mad buying someone because of World Cup performances

Solid DM - but they had plenty of them , it’s another attempt at a statement of intent
