The first Single you ever bought.

It was a double single with Lady Eleanor and Meet me on the corner by ........... ?

Seem to remember buying Without you shortly afterwards

Apache by The Shadows (although I couldn't stand Cliff Richard).

I'm pretty sure it was The Baha Men - Who let the dogs out? Shocking I know.
Oasis - The Importance of Being Idle, was the first album I bought which makes up for it a bit :p

1956. Guy Mitchell. Singing the Blues or it could have been Lonnie Donegon's Rock Island Line.
Hells teeth lads it was a long time ago!!
I might have guessed that Rosecott would pre date mine by four years

Actually, now I think about it, it was a year earlier and it was the Ink Spots with Bless You for being an Angel.

Mine was a white label acetate of Teenage Head by The Flamin' Groovies in 1971 when I was 3 years old.

Not really, it was Kermit the frog I think with It's not easy being green. A very prescient statement about the difficulties of caring for the planet in modern capitalist society. He was way ahead of his time.
