The effect of shaft length versus lie angles....

Here's one for the techies or the logical thinker...

My i25 Ping Irons are "black" coded....

According to the specs, the shafts in the i200s are slightly longer.

How, if at all, does that effect the colour code required?

The lie angle will need to be flattened. In practice, though, it would be best customized to the player by using impact tape or a line drawn on the ball.

Their whole fitting chart approach would depend on them doing exactly that.

I would expect the lie angles to be retained but the colour dot take into account the actual shaft length...but then again I wouldn't expect them to have any concept of a longer standard shaft for a particular model either!
