Got the details for my new car through this afternoon.
Now, I've been having that childish chortle when I've thought about it because it's going to be a "69" plate:whistle:
First thing I noticed on the registration number was the first two letters......
My new car will have the number.....

BJ69...
:ROFLMAO::oops:

Hmmm...bit of a mouthful! 😁

Got the details of mine today too, NL69. Pretty tame in comparison.

What's the average age of your customers?
Your phone might be ringing off the hook! 😁😀

Could you not get an electric car?
That would be a Usp
At least £100 a month more to lease and the range would often be touch and go..someone in a nearby town has gone electric but I think his "area" means he does less than 100 miles a day. I can do 150-200 some days.

You could give it a quick boost while you have your lunch and how much do you spend on petrol/diesel per month?

N.B
The NISSAN LEAF E+ does 239 miles on one charge.

And it's £10k more expensive to buy.
One day, maybe, but at the moment they're generally too expensive and too automatic!

That is pretty key isn't it? My daughter is learning to drive now and we would not get her to use someone driving an automatic, as all electric cars are. It may be that most of her life is spent driving electric cars but for the first 10yrs or so she will need to know how to drive a manual petrol / diesel. A driving instructor in an electric car is really restricting their trade I would have thought.

If you think how quickly things change........
Normal 'big' tvs to flat screen tvs
35mm camera film to the memory card
Digital tv
Internet
etc
I think/hope electric cars will be the norm sooner than most people think. (Especially the oil companies)

I am happy for you to be right. Looking realistically, it is going to take quite a while for electric cars to a/become standard b/ for those then to filter through to the 2nd hand market so that others can pick one up at an affordable price.

The examples you give are spot on, the pace of change can be very fast on tech. The cost of cars, replacing cars etc will slow it down compared to other items however.
