Off topic but what's the typical course capacity at this time of year?

The next two upcoming weekends are fully booked at ours until about 1pm.
The aren't even any tee times available tomorrow (Tuesday) until after 1130.

I (sort of) understand your frustration, but is it any big deal if you have to get 11:08 instead of the 11:00* slot you were originally after? Are you making something out of nothing?

I think it kind of is a big deal because it is an abuse of the system. I don't mind having to grab a different time but all members should be equal. No issue with the captain getting advance booking but everyone else should have the same opportunity. It's cheating and cheating in golf is frowned upon.

Maybe it’s not the slot, but he might be worried starting behind a group that should never go 1st on a course but somehow always does?
We all know players we don’t want to be stuck behind.

Issue is what do the rules say ?

I’m guessing there is nothing there apart from tee times booked after “x o clock”

Next Saturday we have one tee time free before 1:00pm - 12:58…plus a handful of scattered spots before then for singletons to join other groups.

Next Sunday…between 11:20 and 13:00 only two tee times are taken.

We go live 8 days in advance at 7:38am.

Next Wednesday, 8 days time, the first 3 slots are booked then sheet is entirely clear from 8:26am onwards. That is after sheet being live for 20 minutes.

Course closed today due to snow covering.

As for capacity, this Saturday, 4 days time, there are 7 completely free slots and several others where you could join up with a two or three. All before midday.

We are 8 mins - first tee at the moment is 7:32 and last one that gives you 4 hours before sunset is 12:04

So it’s 35 tee times so 140 spots

Surely it's halfway between the two as someone can book for nine holes up til maybe 2:30pm?

Quite correct, that was foolish of me . I just counted the slots but as you say, why book a slot that will mean you tee off in the light, putt on the 1st in the dark? Doh.

A solo player can go around in around 2 1/2 hours, a 2 ball in 2 3/4 if there are no hold ups. Call that around 40 slots then, approx.
