Struggling to imagine why and Scottish course think of having RR has the name of a hole, Now if you were to allow a Celtic extension to Wales you may well find one at The Rolls of Monmouth (in grounds of the former home of Mr Rolls of RR fame)

Well if you think Rolls Royce has a long relationship of manufacturing in Glasgow with their aero engines it's not unreasonable a course close to Hillington in Glasgow may have a hole named after them.

That's very true - though my thinking was more of a hole called Hillman Imp on a course near Paisley

anyone know why golf holes on some courses have names given to them ?
my course has names but i never use them ,its always the hole number.

When a member of Filton Bristol the members always referred to the holes my their names. My current track doesn't have names for the holes.
