Hi everyone I have just bought some 2nd hand irons (titleist 720 dci) and am struggling to get any distance out of them compared to my old clubs that i`ve now sold. The thing is...all shots are only going 130 yards max,no matter what iron i use. Is this a problem with my technique or do you think the clubs don`t suit me? or both??
Only been playing 2 years and i have a beginners handicap. Thanks in advance for your advice.

Sounds like the shafts in the 'new' irons are too stiff, dci's should be easy enough to hit and Titleist make good clubs. I suggest either changing them for clubs with regular flex shafts or get down the gym for a few months to increase power!!

Hmmmm, wierd.
The only thing that I can think is that somehow, in getting used to these clubs, you are doing something different.
I have had the 135 yd blues a bit recently, and it took until today (with video analysis) to work out w.t.h. has been going on.
The way the club sits, or looks down the grip, or feels in the hand can bring about subtle changes.
Double check your grip, posture, alignment, practice with one iron (7 or 8 iron) until it gets better. If the shafts are indeed too stiff, you might get some wierd results, but not the "all-clubs-go-about-the-same".....that's undoubtedly in your swing.
