Swing speed means nothing without a good contact though. If your looking for the main key it's ball speed. Which gives you... distance.
Ball speed and overall distance is affected by: club head, ball type, ball temperature, ambient temperature, shaft flex characteristics, contact, spin rate, etc. The common denominator in all that is club head speed.
I intend to have a comprehensive driver fitting to maximise distance once I've achieved the swing speed target.
How on earth can club head speed be a common denominator for temperature either ambient or ball. The ball is stationary before you hit it how can the temperature of the ball affect club head speed or club head speed affect temperature. Temperature affects the ball irrespective of your club head speed, it doesn't matter whether you swing at 130 mph or 90mph temperature will affect your ball to a varying degree.
