This months mag has goose, swinging a driver, twelve photos. Six from the front, and six down the line. Nice swing. goes without saying really.

In picture four, from front on, boy does he build lag. I'm trying to do that.

But, picture five, it's long gone. He has gone from arms at nine o clock to arms at three o clock, nothing in between.

Now I accept that given the acceleration, this might not be the easiest point at which to get a clear shot, but surely impact is by far the most important shot to show?

No one would be interested in any other view of jim furyks swing, for instance.

To me, I am trying to change my impact position, and no magazine, gm included, ever show this.

Any one else a little frustrated?

Interesting point and not one I'd considered. To be honest I don't look too closely at these sequences as my swing resembles a cornetto melting in the sun after yesterday. Surely an impact position is vital to these to give it some degree of context

What i always thought would be a good view in these sequences would be an OVERHEAD shot, so you can see the difference in take away and the reality of an in to out, or out to in swing

Are you mad? How can you compare that to your own swing, unless you own a blimp?

Well i dont know how you manage to "see" front on pics unless you take your eyes out and stick them on the wall of teh driving range in front of you :)

It would show you how people take the club away and where it should be on the way back into impact.

I have a tripod, and a camera.

The tripod is not 12 foot tall.

Most people cannot equate what they are doing versus a photo any way, but an aerial shot would be so far out from people's perception.

I just want a photo at impact. Is that so flipping hard?

No i agree with you about point of impact

Most people dont swing on the plane / line they think they are, so maybe they need a different reference point.

Didnt say it would be easy - just what i thought would be an interesting viewpoint

Oh, I've just gone and found the mag and checked it out.

What a swing! Maybe picture 5 was deleted to protect unknown secrets....
