Level playing field shots..

Reading between the lines we seem to have a few male scaredy cats on this thread.

In the early 1990's I created an uproar within the county when I included a couple of 'girlies' in our junior scratch league team.
Well, there was no mention in the rules that the 'juniors' had to be male. The girls gave or were given the difference in SSS ratings.
The girls generally won easily as teenage boys are not equipped to play against girls of an equal standard. Sometimes there was tears [not from the girls of course]
On one occasion our junior scratch team consisted of three boys and three girls. All 'adult' county players.

What are they called then?

they are just shots!

'courtesy shots' went out with the introduction of the UHS; although at some clubs as mentioned they still exist on top of entitlements!

we get one from the ladies (white v red) - on what basis would you call that a courtesy? (I've heard it called a many things though - but an offer to play from the yellows and give one instead tends to get rejected!)
