PS. Blackpool, Stanley Park is an Alistair Mackenzie designed course, well worth a do before rumours of houses on part of it comes to fruition.

Great course, woeful upkeep unfortunately - which is a massive shame as the layout, particularly on the front 9 is fantastic.

It is the back nine that would mostly be lost to development (holes 3 to 9) but its for a leisure park and adrenaline world with lodges etc.

No plans have been formally submitted yet though so there's hope for the course yet...

Blackpool and its centre are, its true, a little run down. But don’t let that fool you,there's a lot of money in its surrounding areas.
As where I live, it's seen better days but there's Hillside, S&A, Hesketh, all start off new members on 5 or 6 days and they're certainly not struggling clubs. Not sure of Formby or Royal Birkdale but probably the same.

Just revisiting this. I’m local, in Liverpool, and keen on a links membership. Do you have any knowledge of the Coast clubs’ current waiting lists etc? TIA
