I think it’s the “in partnership” bit flicking before the actual logo is shown which was superfluous and hence annoying

They were sometimes followed by “BOSS sponsors golf on Sky Sports” when the golf came back on.
What ads? Apart from flicking to the cricket a few times to catch up on the score, we had the golf on all day. My ad filter must have been well tuned in yesterday. I remember thinking how very American on the only occasion I remember seeing an ad.

Actually now that you've posted it I realise I've seen it plenty watching online for the last 4 days, I just didn't realise it was for rolex because it popped on at the most inappropriate times in the coverage (even with the ball in motion) and after 4 seconds the 'skip ad' option appeared and i clicked it every time, so had no idea what the ad was for
An advert should make you want to buy a product, not avoid it.
