Sportsdirect

Actually, a small claims court cost is maximum £100 to file, but a warning letter informing SD that you will pursue a small claim case is enough for them to buckle as it's too expensive to run a court case for a big company rather than just settle. Win win.

Maybe, depends how much you've spent. My shoes £60 so clearly not worth it. They will lose more in bad publicity

Minimum £40 to lodge I believe but more importantly, you can't claim the costs back in small claims.

I bought trainers from sports direct for the gym.. the girl on the till told me that I wouldn't be able to return them if I didn't like them I would only get store credit in that event

That's their policy , think it's actually within their rights to do so.

When shops struggle first thing they cut back on is their returns policy's

You should get a free 28 days refund policy. Providing the product is free from defect and has not been used.

I realise that SoG says that the seller is responsible but if you have had no joy with them have you tried contacting the manufacturer direct? After all it is their product reputation at risk.

That policy is up to the company to provide. There is no legal requirement for the company to give it.

Even some of the big companies do not give it in their 'retail outlet stores'. Eg Marks and Spencers in Street.

It's been their policy from the day they opened.

Been up to the main warehouse in Shirebrook today. Got a couple of pairs of srixon gloves and some running shorts.

went across the rd to Ashley's new " brands Maxx" shop. A cheap imitation to TK Maxx. God it is wall to wall crap.

I need to get myself removed from their emails.. (direct golf part that is)

saw a hat I really liked look off.. only £8! bargain but £5 to deliver to store so though id just go to my local direct golf as its on my range

£17 for the hat in the store I asked if that was right as £8 online they matched it but said they had to match the £5 delivery... so £13

wow.. how misleading with their pricing

cant return it either lol lucky I wanted the hat
