Was thinking about this today, there must be hundreds.
I will start with a couple, dont want to be greedy.
Tour de France wins.
Now the records gone back to 5 and now it has to be done clean, may now never be done.
Sir Steve Redgraves 5 golds in 5 games[rowing]
Over to you

Cy Young 519 wins as a pitcher in the major leagues. Only a handful of pitchers have even gotten to 300 in the last four decades and most will never even start that many games let alone win them.

Scotland's record for losing to the most crap teams at World Cups is pretty safe too until they next get there and extend the mark still further.

Monty's 8 European order of merits, 7 on the spin
Phil Taylors 16 World titles (and still counting!)
Arsenals Invincible season......so good it deserves to be mentioned twice:whoo:

149,000 at Hampden for a longstanding European football crowd record.

121 by Maurice Flintcroft in Open qualifier.

Scary thought 149k in there.I am sure I have read that a week later it is thought the attendance was 146k with 25k locked outside for Celtic v Aberdeen!!

Been in it with around 90k and it was crazy enough then.

I was at old Hampden with a crowd of 45,000 for a Hearts v Kilmarnock SFA cup semi. It echoed and you could hear the players shouting accross the pitch. I was scared that I would fall down the cliff like terraces.

Graham Poll for giving 3 yellow cards to one player in the same match. It may have happened before and it may happen again but it's pretty unlikely to happen in a world cup match again. Now that will never be beaten!

What a stadium it was when full.My dad used to take me to the old seated area opposite the main stand when I was a kid.Can still recall the noise, simply terrific.
