Sports records that may never be broken?

Monty's 8 European order of merits, 7 on the spin
Phil Taylors 16 World titles (and still counting!)
Arsenals Invincible season......so good it deserves to be mentioned twice:whoo:

Did Preston not do the unbeaten season first?

Phil Taylor's world title haul.

Usain Bolt's 200m record will take some beating

Alex Ferguson 24 continual years as manager of a professional football club......
( one more for Redgrave as well ) Nadia Comăneci perfect 10 in Olympic gymnastics...

Ladies & Gentlemen, may I put forward the great pole vaulter, Mr. Sergey Bubka.
Olympic gold, six consecutive world championships and 35 world records.
35 world records in the same event in the modern era is unbeatable. His last world record, set in 1994, still stands, as does his 1993 indoor world record!
This year saw a new Olympic Record, 17cm short of Bubka's 1994 jump.

Slime.

Oh, how about gaining an England international football cap, Olympic gold and silver medals, Wimbledon Tennis Championship medal, Britain Davis Cup captain, a 147 in snooker, golf club course record (playing off scratch), scoring a century at Lords versus MCC, being a quadruple Cambridge Blue and taking time off to fight on the western front and in the Gallipoli Campaign.....................................................and that's just one bloke!
Now, that'll never be done again, not even close.

Slime.

Absolute legend,amazing stats.

Also what about Peles record for World Cup wins. The only man to have 3 winners medals, can't see any other player getting to 3 finals let alone 3 wins

Kim Jong-Il's 38 under par round of golf, achieved with 11 holes in one............and all coming in his first ever knock after a lesson from Bob Mac and an hour with a v-easy on the putting green beforehand (ok I made the Bob Mac / v-easy bit up!!!) ;) :)

i have a little head scratcher for you all,WHO won an FA CUP winners medal and a LONSDALE BELT in the same day,and it is a genuine person and not a fictisiose charicter, ans to follow.

Just take a look at Wayne Gretzky's Wikipedia entry. Many of those records will never be broken. #99 is a legitimate hero to me for many reasons but one sticks out more than most. Despite all of his achievements in the game of hockey and on/off the ice after Canada's 4th place in the Olympics he cried because he would never win an Olympic medal. Here is a player who has won everything and will be revered in the hockey world forever and he still balled his eyes out.

What about some young Spanish player who has one already? Not beyond the realms of possibility that Fabregas, Mata, Pique, or Busquets could easily end up playing in another 2 finals and winning them
