Sometimes I hate Matchplay..

CVG and me got turned over 3&2 in our doubles KO today. Bascically because I had to give too many shots away to a 24 handicapper who played about half the holes as a 28'er and the other half as a 15'er!
One par 3, 200 yards, he has a shot. Stuffs it 10 feet from the hole with a shot - Mmmm - Birdie needed for a half! No chance!
The Coup de Grace came on our 16th. A 433 par 4, uphill, into the wind. The other guy played off 12 so I gave him 2 shots, the last of which was here. We both took 5, CVG and the other guy took 6's and we'd lost. There's a reason our 16th is S.I 2! Its bloody hard work. I need a shot there!

Not really complaining as we had our chances and didn't take them but I hate giving bucketloads of shots away. We outscored them +6 to +8 but we lost!
BTW - CVG got cut to 14.2 and I got a weeny cut to 9.5!

I quite enjoy it sometimes, but I get what your saying as we lost a bb ko last year when I had to give 12 shots to a fella at his home course, selected tee of the day was the yellows, which were about 6000 yards max! was a joke, but was their choice!! he was an old boy, 200 yards straight as you like, we almost got through but lost on 18. gutted!!

So the guy off 24 only gets 10 shots off you.... you should have walked it, he must have felt like he was playing with one arm tied behind his back

4BBB is a game where if a pair "gel" and have a few good holes each but on different holes it's very hard to beat them. We play foursomes for our doubles which is hard work but a much better format in getting the true best pairing as the winners. Both partners have to play well to win.
