27 people have or want a neutral grip, 1 person wants a weak grip and 2 people want strong

That's about 95% that want a neutral grip.....

Maybe you should (might consider) reading this......

After another exhausting research project on over 200 PGA tour pros, I have found that the grip that is most commonly used, is what we would once have termed a “strong grip.” At least 60% of the tour pros use this grip so I’m going to call it the “standard strong” grip. Then there are about 20% that use an extremely strong grip or as one tour pro called it, the “Harley Grip.” Thus, 80% of the tour players are using either a standard strong grip or an extreme strong grip.

Then only 10% of the players used a weak or neutral grip consisting of both hands in the weak or neutral position that Leadbetter promotes.

The final 10% of the players are using a combination of either strong left/weak right or weak left /strong right hand grip.

80% and 10% mixed.... that's 90% of tour golfers AREN'T using a weak or neutral grip

Hopefully this shows everyone how difficult it is to hit with the weak/neutral grip and avoid the flip. If the 57% of the weak/neutral tour players flip it, chances are, so will you.

... so what is it you think you know that they don't?

Couldn't give a monkeys what the pro's use. They're pro's and I'm a 23 handicapper. Happy with my grip and erratic ball striking.

Define the yard stick.

What is neutral and what is strong?

If they are saying Zach Johnson has a 'Tour Standard Neutral' grip I'd be amazed.

Zach has a strong grip, most tour players do.

I hope I am understanding this right: but If I want to induce a slice to negotiate the fairway from the wrong side of a dogleg, I will grip it really hard.
So is this a strong grip?

Strong means the position of your hands on the grip JBS, not how hard you squeeze, that's 'grip pressure' you're referring to

i couldnt vote as i just grip the club with a neutral left hand and slightly strong right. i dont force anything, just grip comfortably. i just use a baseball grip. ive got bigger fish to fry.
