Snacks for the course?????

Sweets..nuts..fruit..flapjacks !!!

No wonder why we have a problem with slow play, everybody stopping for a picnic instead of playing golf.

Man-up, its only 3-4 hours, eat when you finished.

Nature Valley do these really nice peanut bars, very tasty and not too bad nutrition-wise. Lots of water.

Unless I'm in a rush and forget then it's Snickers and Coke from the pro-shop:o

If it's over lunch or dinner, a cheese and jam roll (cheddar and raspberry), banana, a couple of freddo's and a water bottle staight out of the freezer.

Normally on the ninth tee i open up the picnic basked and myself and the rest of my 4 ball or WI enjoy scones clotted cream and home made jams, the biggest problem I find is keeping the tea properly hot and in this heat at times the clotted cream has gone a little soft and at times even runny.

With regard to slow play we never have an issue with slow play on the back nine as this tends to leave us a nice gap in front and we rarely get held up, all in all this makes for a wonderful round.

A drink. Water or flavoured water. If I'm hungry, Alpen cereal bars are really nice. Came in handy when I was dying on day two of the ICC

I tend to eat a big breakfast before I go to the course which includes multiple poached eggs.
I then take a big bottle of sparkling water and that tends to do me.
If I was to eat on the course I would either have some fruit or maybe a snickers.

Am trying to shed a few pounds so take some diet coke and an apple and a banana. Playing partner always insists on sharing a small bushmills before we start the 10th.

2-3 bottles of water this time of year and normally always a banana or apple. Some nuts on occasion if the wife has been kind enough to add them to the shopping list.

Often a flask of coffee for the frosty winter league mornings.
