Things with far less sugar than your options :) Usually have a pot with some cashews, some macadamias and some almonds in. Will always have plenty of water or pretty weak squash

Banana's
Raisins
Home made flapjack

As a diabetic I have to be careful of sugar spikes and so too many chocolate based goodies aren't good. Fine for the initial rush but I struggle to concentrate and feel more tired when the dip comes

Mars bar, normally a couple of packets of crisps, a bottle of Irn Bru and a hip flask with some malt whisky and occasionally if i don't have the car a couple of cans of Magners

Mars bar battered? And not just from getting crushed in the bag!

Local Tesco used to do packs of Granola that were perfect mid-round but have refurb-ed their Bakery and that sort of stuff is 'beneath' them now! Used to get Yoghurt (or Chocolate) covered Flapjacks - from a company Caf - that worked a treat too.

Carbs before (English/Scottish.... Breakfast works!) and plenty of fluids (water works fine) during is all that really matters.

Looks like we are getting healthier in the golf world, I'm always have a sandwich to go with the snacks but wondering what I what keep in the bag, I normally have berocca & paracetamol if going away on golf trip, anyone else the same? #essentials

No wonder there is such an issue with slow play when there are people like you pulling out and putting away your nuts all round.... :p

I'd normally take food with me, but I am going to stop and just take plenty of water. Heading away next weekend, and could be looooong rounds, so it will be interesting to see how that turns out!
