Who is prone to slice (or lose a ball to the right) and who is prone to hook (or lose a ball to the left)?

Just wondering the comparison between the two (please vote on this PRIVATE poll even if you don't reply to the thread)

Not really fair mate. I have developed a pull hook recently, but occasionally throw in a high fade for good measure... Gone for Hook as thats the most destructive...

Can't reply to this thread. Before meeting some numptie last week I was losing it left, right, short and long.

Think it's just a block issue now but having seen my shot shape change 9 times in as many months I'm reluctant to commit to an answer, as it may be wrong in a few weeks!

I don't curve the ball much any more.

Throughout the bag, the last option suits me best at the minute, with a slight emphasis on the push/block.

hit most of my irons with a draw/hook.

I don't try to hit it straight. my bad shots are over cuts and hooks.

I usually know what side I am going to miss on. I despise the idea trying to hit it straight and not knowing if it will shoot straight, left or right.

When I lose it right, it's an ugly high hanging slice, especially with my driver but when I lose it left, it's been a low swinging hook, especially with my driver!
My God, I hate my driver, (or it hates me) ............................. most of the time.

Slime.

Typical miss is either a big block or big hook (in to out swing path much). I do have the odd push/slice in there too but I think that tends to come from toeing the ball. When I hit it like I'm meant to, it's the block/hook when it misses.

This was me until a recent few lessons, put me back on track.... Hopefully 2 decent range sessions maybe a touch premature to
Think I've cracked it! :mmm:

I can hit it anywhere and everywhere.
Straight, left, right, you name it I go there...

You and me both. But on the plus side I like to think that I've seen a lot more of the course for my money than these guys that hit fairways and greens all the way round. They'll never see the beauty of the ducklings on the pond 60 yards right of the 3rd fairway or the owl roosting in the tree 50 yards left of the 7th green. They don't know what they're missing with their dead straight "proper" golf.
