You may have heard this before(you probably have) but just in case you havent't. This helped me cure the temporary slice/push i had.

1) address the ball as normal

2)Drag your right foot back about 2 inches so it seems to be further back than your left and so your feet seem to point to the right of your target.

3) Swing normally, along the line of your feet.

This simple procedure has amazingly transformed my ball striking from a slice or push to straight or draw.

Lloydy, you'll find that's how you set up for a draw! - it's in every instruction manual ever written, you didn't invent it, sorry!

Instead of slice/push I think you had a slice/fade as slice and push dont come from the same swingpath.

Slice and pull are from an out to in swingpath - open clubface = slice, hooded clubface = pull
Hook and push are from an in to out swingpath- open clubface = push, closed clubface = hook

I would watch your grip as you want feet, hips and shoulders in alignment (all pointing to target) for consistently good ball striking. If you play with the right foot back you will fall into a very flat swing. Sounds like you are compensating for a dodgy grip or wrong ball position by altering your set up - you want to get this sorted out.

It sounds like you are well on the way to shaping shots -very useful when you have to bend the ball round trees etc.

Yeah you are making sense. but what i forgot to mention is that my stance was open before i changed it to closed, it just appeared to be closed, when i layed out a club later it proved that my feet were in line with the target,

78 today, nett 63 so must have sorted something out.
